About Gujarat University, Ahmedabad
Gujarat University is a premier university in the country established in the year 1949 under the Gujarat University Act, 1949. It is a UGC recognized university. The University is accreditated by NAAC. The idea of forming such an organization was conceived in the 1920s by legends like Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel, Acharya Ananda Shankar B. Dhruva, Kasturbhai Lalbhai and others.
Gujarat University admission is offered to various courses such as Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Doctorate, Diploma and Certificate Courses. The University has 286 affiliated colleges, 24 approved institutions, and 22 recognized institutions. It is the largest university in the state of Gujarat.
