The Indian Academy Education Trust (IAET) was founded by Dr Thummala Somasekhar. Indian Academy Degree College was started under this foundation in 1994 as an autonomous educational body. It is one of the country's best institutions offering world-class education on a variety of subjects such as science and management.

The institute has a student base of more than 3,000, that consists of more than 37 countries across the globe. The different undergraduate courses offered by the institute are BCA, BBA, B Sc, B Com and B A. There are postgraduate courses available, such as M Sc, M Com, M A and M Com in international business. A doctoral program is offered in life sciences.

The college has state of the art infrastructure and has obtained grade A certification by NAAC.

Indian Academy Degree College Admission Process

For enrolling in B Sc course, a student must have passed class 12th from a recognised university. Students must have biology as an optional subject in class 12th. For admission in B Sc computer science, maths, physics or electronics, maths is must at 10+2 level with at least 35% marks. For BBA, the minimum marks should be 35% in class 12.

Students seeking a master’s course must have 50% marks in their graduation and in the relevant subject. The requirement is the same for M Com course.
