It is a private university that has been re-accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The MBA programme of the institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. The institute focuses on research-oriented teaching methods. The university has been awarded the Best University of the Year in South India by ASSOCHAM India. Also, in 2014 it has been recognised as the Most Promising Institute in South India by the British South India Council of Commerce and Business Meet.
Qualifying Exams
The university accepts JEE Mains, JEE Advanced, Karnataka CET, COMED-K examination scores for admission in the undergraduate engineering courses. The students are supposed to qualify their 12th board exam with a minimum of 45% aggregate. For admission to the undergraduate law course, the candidate is supposed to clear CLAT or LSAT entrance examination. A minimum of 45% is required in the student's 12th board examination. For admission in the postgraduate management course, the candidate is supposed to qualify CAT, XAT, MAT or GMAT examination. He/she must score good rankings to get admitted to the university. After qualifying the exams, the students will be called for a personal interview and then the shortlisted students will be provided with the dates of the new session.
Presidency University Admission Process
Candidates seeking admission in postgraduate courses are required to fill the application form available on the official college’s website. The form has to be then submitted to the admission officer after which a written aptitude test will be conducted.
An interview session will also be conducted by program counsellors. For gaining admission in undergraduate courses, the candidate will have to clear the interview after submitting his/her application form to the admission officer.
For outstation candidates, a telephonic interview will be performed after their application form is shortlisted. All admissions are subjected to the approval of Bangalore University.
Presidency University Placements
The university is visited by various well-known organisations for placements. Many students have bagged great placement opportunities. As per the previous year's records, the minimum salary package was about Rs. 2.3 lakh, annually the average salary package was Rs. 2.75 lakh per year and the highest salary package was 5 lakh, annually.
