Roorkee Institute Of Technology (RIT), Roorkee has been ranked 5th as the “Most Promising Engineering College in India” by India Today. It is the first private college in Uttarakhand to have an Apple Lab (iOS Development Centre). With a center of Excellence of Texas Instruments, RIT is geared up to impart training in Artificial Intelligence to make the students industry ready and more employable.

RIT Roorkee Scholarships

The institute offers financial help to deserving and meritorious students through a number of scholarships. Following is a brief about the scholarships: 

• State Scholarships: The state government of Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand offer a  number of scholarships based on both need and merit. 
• Minority Welfare Programs: Students belonging to minority communities such as Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi can apply for this scholarship.
• Academic Scholarships: RIT offers scholarships to all meritorious students who performed well in the 12th class. The following table describes the scholarship available for the students studying in B.Tech: 

• Sports Scholarships: The sports quota scholarship is given to students under the following criteria:
  • National Level Participation –  100% Scholarship
  • State-level Participation –  50% Scholarship
  • District level Participation – 30% Scholarship
  • School-Level Participation – 10% Scholarship

• Hostels: The Institute offers hostel facilities for male and female students enrolled in the Institute. The rooms are equipped with facilities like internet connectivity, dining hall, gym, game rooms, green playground and many facilities. 
• Library: There is a huge collection of more than 33000 books covering areas like technology, education, management, computer applications and many more. It also has subscribed to 100 international and national journals, 16 national newspapers and 2500 reference books. 
• Auditorium: The auditorium has a state-of-art auditorium equipped with all the latest technology. It has a seating capacity of 400 people and is centrally air-conditioned.
