Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) is an Open University was established in the year 1989 by Act XX- (1989) of the Maharashtra State Legislature, named after Yashwantrao Chavan, Maharashtra’s great political leader and builder of modern Maharashtra. The university is duly recognized by the UGC and is the fifth open university in India. ‘The Commonwealth of Learning (COL)’ Canada, conferred the prestigious 'Award of Excellence for Institutional Achievement' for the year 2002 to this university. The university provides a variety of UG and PG courses in multiple disciplines. Admission to same is done on the basis of merit list, however, for some courses, the university conducts its own entrance exam. It also accepts JEE Main and other national level exams for B.Tech.

YCMOU UG Admissions

The university provides UG admissions to candidates on the basis of their qualifying marks at the intermediate level. Apart from that, some competitive entrance exams are also considered for the admission of various B.Tech programs in many specializations. B.A., B.Sc., B.Com. B. Arch., etc in numerous specializations also provided by YCMOU Nashik.

YCMOU PG Admissions

The university offers M.Sc, M.Arch, MA, MBA and M.Com program and only candidates with the relevant qualifying degree can register for the courses. Interested candidates can register by filling-in online application form and submit the required documents, on or before the due date. Admission to all the PG programs (except MBA) is done on the basis of marks secured by candidates in the qualifying degree examination. In case of MBA, the entrance examination is conducted by YCMOU for admitting students.

YCMOU Ph.D. Admissions

The university also offers a doctoral research program viz. Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry with a limited intake. Candidates who possess PG degree are eligible to apply for the program. Pre-Entrance Test is conducted by the university in order to shortlist students for admission to the course. YCMOU Admission 2020: Dates, Courses, Login, Results

Established in 1989, YCMOU is an open university situated in Nashik, Maharashtra. At present, YCMOU offers various Certificate, PG Diploma, Diploma, Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs under its 8 schools. The application form and fee can be submitted online followed by submission of fee receipt at the designated study center.

• Admission to BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BFA & BCA courses require a pass in 10+2 in the relevant group.

UG & PG Registration

YCMOU PG Admission 2020: M.Sc, M.Arch, MBA, M.Com, MPH,  & M.Li.Sc

YCMOU also offers various PG programs in the departments of Science, Commerce, Management, Education, Computer Applications and Technology.

A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with 45% marks in aggregate. Merit in the last qualifying examination is the only criteria to secure a seat in these YCMOU courses. Students have to qualify in CET conducted by YCMOU to secure admission in MPH, MBA and M.Sc in Agricultural Extension.

Key Points:

• The admission to MPH program is based on YCMOU entrance exam. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the eligibility criteria and the scores in the entrance test.
• For the candidates who wish to pursue MBA need to appear for the compulsory entrance exam by YCMOU. For other courses, the admission is based on merit.

YCMOU offers various UG programs in the departments of Science, Commerce, Management, Education, Computer Applications, and Technology. 

The minimum eligibility criteria is a pass in 10+2 with relevant subjects. Admission is completely merit-based while to secure admission B.Tech programs, the students have to qualify in CET conducted by YCMOU.

Key Points:

• CET is conducted by YCMOU to grant admission to B.Tech program. JEE Main and other National or State level entrance qualified candidates are also eligible to apply.
• For B.Ed program,  the candidates have to pay INR 400 (INR 200 for SC/ST).

YCMOU Certificate, Diploma & PG Diploma Admission 2020

YCMOU also offers one-year and two-year PG Diploma and Diploma courses in various specializations. Admission is purely merit-based. 10th and 12th qualified candidates are eligible to apply for Diploma & PG Diploma courses.

Note: The Diploma courses can be extended maximum up to the duration of 3 years. The admission is merit-based and the candidates who fail to complete within the given duration, need to re-register after the completion of the 3rd year.
