Apeejay Institute of Design Admissions

Candidates seeking admission in the institute can download the admission form available on the website (https://www.apeejay.edu/aid/courses-offered). They must fill-up the form and mail it at aid.del@apj.edu. Candidates can also send the form through courier to the Institution directly. They also need to pay an application fee of INR 900 through DD in favor of “ Apeejay Institute of Design” payable at New Delhi. 

The selection criteria for each course vary from each other. Students applying for UG course will need to appear an entrance test conducted by the Institute. This will be followed by a personal interview for final selection. However, for other courses i.e. PG and Diploma, the institute conducts a personal interview to admit eligible candidates.

Apeejay Institute of Design Admission 2020: Entrance Exam, Scholarship

Apeejay Institute of Design is a pioneering designing institute in Delhi, established in September 1991 with a vision to provide conducive learning environment for the design industry. The foundation of the institute was laid by Industrial house of Apeejay to promote art, culture and design. The institute is a constituent of Apeejay Satya University. Apeejay Institute of Design offers Diploma, Certificate, Bachelor’s, Master’s and PG Diploma courses in various disciplines of Design.

Apeejay Institute Of Design Diploma And B.Design Admission 2020

Apeejay Institute of Design offers Bachelor’s in Fashion Design, Interior Design, Graphic Design and Animation & Multimedia. Candidates will be selected on basis of a design aptitude test conducted by Apeejay Satya University. Qualifying candidates will be called for Personal Interview round. Applicants who have passed higher secondary examinations in any Science/ Commerce/ Arts with minimum 50% aggregate marks are eligible to apply for admissions.

Apart from Bachelor’s in Design, institute offers various two-year diploma and short-term courses in Fashion Design, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Ceramic Arts and Animation & Multimedia for which admissions are made on the basis of face to face interview round. Applicants, who have passed class 12th in any stream with at least 40% marks, are eligible for admissions.

Apeejay Institute Of Design M.Design Admission 2020

At postgraduate level, AID offers Master’s in Fashion Design, Interior Design, Graphic Design and Animation and Multimedia. Admissions to these two-year PG courses will be based on Personal Interview by the admission committee of AID. Candidates who hold Bachelor’s in any stream, with at least 50% aggregate marks, are eligible to apply.

It also offers one-year PG Diploma in Fashion Design, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Ceramic Arts and Fine Arts. Bachelor’s holders in any discipline with minimum 45% aggregate marks can apply for admissions made on the merit list issued by AID on the basis of face to face Interview. 

Important Points:

• Up to Diploma (one year), students will continue at the institute.
• For the further Degree level course, students will be admitted to the university on lateral entry mode.

Apeejay Institute Of Design Application Process 2020

Applications for admissions to AID will have to be submitted at the college admissions office for which the forms can be downloaded from the official portal of the university. Alternatively, admission forms will be available at the campus on all working days between 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Application fee will have to be paid offline. To download application form, candidates can follow the steps given below:

• Visit AID portal.
• Select “Admissions” tab under the Menu at the home page.
• Read the application procedure and click on “Click here” to download Admissions Form link.
• Get the print out of the form and fill the mandatory details.
• Send the application form along with the photocopies of the following document:
  • School leaving certificate
  • Certificate of the examination last passed
  • Medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner
  • Character certificate from the head of the institution last attended.
  • Passport size photographs of mother and father with signature on reverse
  • Equivalency certificate (in case qualifying exam is passed from foreign university/ institute)
• Application fee for all the courses is INR 900.
• Separate application form has to be filled for each course.
• Application fee can be paid through check in favor of “Apeejay Institute of Design”.
• Candidates can also pay the fee at the time of aptitude test/ personal interview.
