Apollo Engineering College (AEC) is a private, self-financing, co-educational institution that was set up in 2007 by Apollo Group of Educational Institutions. The Institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Govt. of India, New Delhi and offers five Undergraduate and three Postgraduate programs to the candidates.

Undergraduate Programs

The college offers Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) program in five specializations namely, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Computer Science and Aeronautical. The basic criteria to apply is Intermediate (10+2) in Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as Mandatory subjects. The selection of candidates will be on the basis of marks in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA).

Postgraduate Programs

AEC offers two Postgraduate programs – M.E. and MBA. The Master of Engineering program (M.E.) is offered in two specializations – Computer Science and Engineering and VLSI Design. The eligibility criteria to apply to M.E./ MBA program is Graduation in a relevant discipline with minimum required marks from a recognized Institute. Candidates will be selected for M.E. on the basis of rank secured in TANCET/ GATE exam and for MBA on the basis of CAT entrance test.

The training and placement cell is committed to offer professional assistance to its graduates and postgraduates to find employment. The training and placement cell facilitates contacts between companies and students. The placement cell helps students with the placement procedure, necessary application and resumes, Group Discussion and mock interviews. Moreover, the cell also helps students to improve their communication skills and presentation skills by conducting various classes on aptitude, verbal reasoning, etc. The students that have graduated from AEC, are placed in various MNC’s like Cognizant, Symantec, TCS, Infosys, MRF, Syntel, Avalon, Technosoft, American Megatrend, Sutherland etc.
