BJ Medical College is one of the beat and largest medical colleges in India. The college was established in 1871. It is affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad and. The college offers Bachelor and Master Programmes

Library:

• There is a central library which was established in year 1946. B.J. Medical College Library is the largest resource of bio-medical literature in Gujarat state .It is housed in the college building with a seating capacity of 500 persons. It has a collection of 41,000 books and back volumes of journals, 3434 dissertations, 2032 reports, proceedings and an annual subscription of 236 current journal
• The library has acquired a TITAN CD Server with 170 Disc and nine terminal connected with CD Server throughout local networking
