Bangalore University Scholarships
Bangalore University offers following Scholarships to the deserving candidates:
- Government of India Post-metric Scholarship – It is available for candidates belonging to SC/ ST category from Karnataka State. To be eligible for this scholarship, the annual income of the parents must be less than or equal to INR 2,50,000.
- Minorities Scholarships: The candidates belonging to minorities (i.e., Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Anglo-Indians, Jains) whose parents’ income is less than INR 44,500 are eligible for Encouragement Fund/ Fees reimbursement. This is administered by the Minorities Welfare Department.
- Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship – This scholarship is administered by University Grants Commission (UGC). This will be granted to female students who are single girl child of their parents. The awardee will be given INR 500 per month for 10 months of each year.
- Subject Scholarship – The University has granted one scholarship for each class for the students who scored the highest marks in the previous qualifying examination. These carry free-ship exempting them from payment of tuition and lab fees only, plus a sum of INR 600 is given.
Apart from these, top-ranking students can also avail India National Merit Scholarship administered by the Government of India.
