Living legend Mrs. Rabia Futhelly is the first woman pilot to obtain a pilot license from this institute. Now she is the part of the managing committee of the Bombay flying club.

Bombay Flying Club Pilot Training
Bombay Flying Club is an approved by the Director-General of Civil Aviation (Govt. of India) specially permitted for disseminating training to pilots. The institute has different kinds of fleets for training. The institute offers courses like:
- Student’s Pilot License – This license is obtained when a person wants to become a licensed pilot in preparation for the advanced training program.
- Commercial Pilot License- This is 200 hours flying training for 8 to 10 months after successful training you get a commercial pilot license.
- Private Pilot License- It is given after 3 to 4 months of training. On completion of this course, the person becomes eligible to fly aircraft carrying passengers or cargo but not for hire, reward or remuneration.

- Must have attained a minimum of 60% marks.
