Established in 2016, Brainware University (BWU) is a private University located near Barasat, Kolkata, West Bengal. Approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Brainware University provides 50 undergraduate, postgraduate, PG diploma, and doctoral programmes. The University is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and the Bar Council of India (BCI). Brainware University application process is online. The University provides 5 per cent relaxation in marks for SC/ST and OBC category.

Brainware University is a member of National Digital Library. The students and the faculty can avail digital learning materials ranging from primary to postgraduate levels. The University has a state-of-the-art infrastructure in modern teaching equipment, laboratory facilities that includes multimedia lab, electronics lab, computer lab, pharmaceutical lab, moot court, and other labs. Brainware University Admission Process

• Brainware University offers UG, PG , PG diploma and doctoral courses in various streams. Brainware University application process is online. Brainware University application process begins in March every year. Brainware University admission process highlights are listed below:         
• Candidates seeking admission to BTech and BE needs to qualify in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board or WBJEE exam
• Admission to LLB and BBA-LLB programme is based on candidate’s performance in an online entrance exam, BUEE conducted by the University. The scores obtained in CLAT are considerd for admssion
• Admission to DPharma, BPharma and BCA is based on the candidate’s performance in the University entrance test
• Admission to MTech is based on the scored obtained in GATE/ WBUT PGET 
• MBA admission is based on a valid score in WB JEMAT, conducted by Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology. Scores obtained in CAT/ MAT/ XAT will also be considered
• For an admission to PhD programme, the University will accept score of a candidate in a research-based entrance exam conducted by the University itself, followed by a Personal Interview (PI) round. Scores of GATE/ UGC NET/ CSIR NET are taken into cinsidertion and the candidate can directly mov to PI round
