Chitkara University launches new Master’s Program

Chitkara University announces the launch of its new 2-year master program in Pharmacovigilance. The program is aimed at creating skilled and competent Pharmacovigilance professionals who can work efficiently at different levels in the industry. Students in this field can get jobs in various pharmaceutical companies and earn attractive and handsome packages. • Admission to MBA will be done on the basis of scores in the CAT / MAT / NMAT / XAT / CMAT followed by a performance in the group discussion and personal interview rounds.
• For M.Sc., MCA, M.Physio, M.Optom and B.Ed. course, seats will be allotted on the basis of performance in the qualifying examination of the Bachelor’s degree and performance in the personal interview.

Chitkara University B.E & B.Arch Admission 2020

Chitkara University offers B.E. in six specializations and B.Arch at UG level.

Candidates applying to the B.E. course must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with minimum 60% marks. Candidates who have a three-year Diploma are eligible to apply for the B.E. Lateral Entry.

Candidates applying to the B.Arch course must have completed 10+2 with Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects and minimum 50% marks.

Admission to the B.E. course will be done on the basis of JEE Main scores. Admission to the B.Arch course will be done on the basis of NATA or JEE Main (Paper 2) scores.

Key Points:

• Candidates who have a three year Diploma in a relevant field, with 50% marks, are eligible to apply for the second year of the B.E. course through lateral entry.
• Candidates who have a three-year Diploma in architecture with 50% marks are also eligible to apply for the B.Arch course.

Chitkara University UG Admission 2020: BCA, BBA, B.Com, BFA, B.Des & BA

Chitkara University offers the BCA, BBA, B.Com, BFA, B.Des. and B.A. courses at the UG level. The B.Des. Course is offered in 3 specializations. The university also offers BCA-MCA integrated program to the candidates.

Candidates who have completed 10+2 from any stream with 50% marks are eligible to apply for the BCA, BBA, B.Com. and Integrated MCA Courses. Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination are eligible to apply for the BFA, B.Des. and BA courses.

Admission to the BCA, BBA, B.Com, BFA, BA and BCA-MCA courses will be done on the basis of performance in the 10+2 examination and performance in the personal interview conducted by the University. Admission to B.Des Animation and Interior Design will be allotted on the basis of UCEED scores. Admission to B.Des Game Design and BFA will be given on the basis of CUDAT.

Key Points:

• The personal interview round will be conducted by the University.
• The marks in the 10+2 final examination will not be rounded off to determine minimum eligibility, for example, 59.99% will not be considered equal to 60%.
• If two or more candidates have equal marks in the 10+2 examination, then the marks of the next lower examination will be considered. In case there is any further tie, then seniority in age will be given preference while short listing.

Chitkara University UG Admission 2020: B.Sc (Nursing), B.Optom, B.Pharm & Pharm.D

Chitkara University offers the B.Sc., B.Physiotherapy, B.Optometry, B.Pharma and Pharm.D courses at the UG level. The B.Sc. course is offered in 8 specializations.

Candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination are eligible to apply for the B.Sc., B.Physiotherapy, B.Optometry, B.Pharma and Pharm.D courses. For B.Optometry, B.Physiotherapy and B.Sc. Nursing, candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects in 10+2 examination.

Admission to the B.Sc., B.Physiotherapy, B.Optometry, B.Pharma and Pharm.D courses will be done on the basis of merit in the 10+2 examination and based on performance in the personal interview conducted by the University. Key Points:

• For B.Sc. Post Basic Nursing, applicants are required to have registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.
• For B.Pharm (Practice), applicants must have passed Diploma in Pharmacy course, should be a registered pharmacist and have minimum four years of pharmacy practice.

Chitkara University PG Admission 2020: ME, M.Sc, MBA, MCA, M.Pharm, M.Optom, B.Ed & MA

Chitkara University offers M.E. in four specializations, M.Sc. in three specializations, MBA in eleven specializations, MCA, M.Pharma, M.Physiotherapy, M.Optometry, B.Ed. and M.A. courses at the PG level.

For all the PG programs, candidates who have a Bachelor’s degree from a relevant field with minimum 50% marks are eligible to apply.

Admission to the MBA course will be done on the basis of scores in the CAT / XAT / NMAT / MAT / CMAT and performance in the group discussion and personal interview.

Admission to the remaining PG courses will be done on the basis of scores obtained in the entrance test and performance in personal interview, both of which will be conducted by the University.

Key Points:

• Candidates applying to the M.E. in Construction Technology and Management must have cleared GATE.
• Candidates with a CGPA of 6 out of 10 in their UG course will also be considered eligible to apply for the M.E. course.
• Candidates who have 2 years of work experience in industry / teaching and who are presently employed in industry / teaching are also eligible to apply for the M.E. courses in Computer Science and Electronics & Communication engineering.
• The entrance test and personal interviews will be conducted by the University.
• Candidates who have passed BPT through correspondence or distance education are not eligible to apply for the M.Physiotherapy course.

Chitkara University Ph.D. Admission 2020

Chitkara University also offers Ph.D. program in various disciplines at the doctorate level. Master’s degree in the related discipline with at least 55% marks in aggregate is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission.

Admission is granted on the basis of university-based entrance test followed by an interview. Candidates with a valid score in CAT for Business Management, GPAT for Pharmaceutical Sciences/ CSIR NET/ UGC NET or equivalent are exempted from the university-based entrance. Such candidates have to appear in the interview round only.
