Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, was established in the year of 1918 with the purpose to train dedicated persons to run, manage and provide health care in the spirit of Christ through the mission hospitals. The college is permanently affiliated to The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai. It offers various UG, PG, and diploma courses focusing on the areas of Medicine, Surgery, and Nursing. CMC Vellore Admission 2019 is done through the entrance examination followed by Interview round. The college also accepts the NEET score for admission to the M.B.B.S. program.

Course 1: M.B.B.S - Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Science

• Eligibility - Intermediate(10+2) in PCB with at least 50% and 50% in NEET UG exam.

Course 2: B.Sc. (Nursing)

• Duration - 4 Years + 1 Year (Junior Nursing Training)
• Eligibility - Intermediate(10+2) in PCB with at least 45%

Course 3: BOT - Bachelor of Occupational Therapy

• Duration - 4 Years + 6 Months (Internship)
• Eligibility - Intermediate(10+2) in PCB with at least 35%

Course 4: BPT - Bachelor of Physiotherapy 

• Duration - 4 Years + 6 Months (Internship)

• Specializations - Nursing, Radiodiagnosis Technology (MRT), Urology Technology, Anaesthesia Tech, Anaesthesia Tech, Hand & Leprosy Physiotherapy Tech, Optometry, Laboratory Technology, and Hospital Sterilisation.
• Eligibility - Intermediate(10+2) in PCB/ Zoology/ Botany
• Seat Intake - 8/10 per specialization

Course 7: PG Diploma Courses

• Duration - 1-2 Years + Internship
• Specializations - Histopathological Lab. Technology, Medical Microbiology, Cardiac Technology, Cytogenetics, Genetic Diagnosis Technology, Assisted Reproductive Technology, Community Health Management, Hospital Administration, and many more.

Course 8: M.Sc.

• Duration - 2 Years + Internship

CMC Vellore Admission

Registration for admission to CMC Vellore is done through online mode. Those who wish to apply can submit the application form on the official website of the institute.

Candidates should follow the subsequent steps in order to apply for the above-mentioned courses:

Step 1: Visit the official page of CMC (www.admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in) and select the portal for students

Step 2: Click on the very first tab ‘Apply for a course’ and select your desired course

Step 3: Register yourself with a valid contact number and email id. 

Step 4: Enter CMC Vellore Login credentials, the application form will appear

Step 5: Fill in the form with correct past-educational details, date of birth, category, etc. and upload scanned photograph and signature within required dimensions.

Step 6: Choose nearby examination centers; 4 centers have to be selected by the candidates.

Step 7: Duly filled forms are supposed to be submitted with payment as per the candidate’s course and category.

Admit Card for Entrance Exams

Hall ticket for Computer Based Test will be available on the website of CMC. Christian Medical College issues a common admit card for all the CBT Based Courses.

CMC Vellore MBBS Admission

• Candidates seeking admission to MBBS Program need to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as main subjects.
• The selection is done on the basis of entrance exam NEET UG which is conducted at the national level.
• Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their marks are considered for Interview round. The final selection is done on the basis of the overall performance of the candidate.

CMC Vellore Allied Health Science Admission

• Candidates seeking admission to B.Sc., BPT, BPO, BOT, B.Sc. (Nursing) and Diploma courses need to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as main subjects.
• The selection is done on the basis of entrance exam CBT which is conducted by the university.
• Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their marks are considered for a special assessment test followed by Interview round. The final selection is done on the basis of the overall performance of the candidate.

CMC Vellore Nursing Admission

• Candidates seeking admission to M.Sc.(Nursing), and Post Basic Nursing Diploma need to obtain a minimum of 55% in B.Sc. (Nursing).
• The selection is done on the basis of entrance test conducted by the university.
• Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their marks are considered for interview round. The final selection is done on the basis of the overall performance of the candidate.

Unlike the policy for all other programs, CMC does not have a single Ph.D. admission. Applicants for Ph.D. are selected/ recommended by their guides for Ph.D. registration with whom they usually worked for a period of time before applying for Ph.D. registration.
