Cochin University Of Science And Technology (CUSAT) is a State University located in Kochi, Kerala. It was named as the University of Cochin in 1971 and reorganized as Cochin University of Science and Technology in February 1986. CUSAT has been recognized by UGC. It has been approved by AICTE and accredited by NAAC. The university aims at promoting and prosecuting research in applied science, technology, industry, commerce, social science and management for the advancement of knowledge and for the betterment of society.
The university offers various UG, Integrated, PG, Executive, Diploma, PG Diploma, Certificate, M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses. Admissions at CUSAT to these courses are conducted every year.

The university conducts CUSAT CAT for admission to B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Phil, M.Voc, MCA, MBA, MA, M.Sc, LLB, BBA programs offered by various colleges under the university.

Undergraduate Courses

B. Tech, B.Com LLB, BBA LLB, LLB
Eligibility- Admission to UG and Integrated programs are done on the basis of marks acquired by a candidate in 10+2 (relevant stream) or equivalent. Final Selections to UG and Integrated programs are done on the basis of scores obtained in Entrance Exams conducted by the University.

• KEAM/ CUSAT-CAT Engineering Entrance Exam – Valid Score (B.Tech.) and B.Sc. M.Sc.).
• CUSAT Entrance Exam – Valid Score (B.Com. LLB and BBA LLB).

Postgraduate Courses

M.Sc., MA, MCA, MBA, LLM, M.Voc
Eligibility- Admission to PG programs are done on the basis of marks acquired by a candidate in their Bachelor’s Degree Examination (relevant stream) or equivalent.

• KMAT/ CAT/ CMAT/ GMAT – Valid Score (for MBA and Executive MBA).
• GATE Entrance Exam – Valid Score (M.Tech.).
  Final Selections to PG programs are done on the basis of scores obtained in Entrance Exam followed by Group Discussion/ Personal Interview conducted by the University

For the M.Phil Programs, the candidates having Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with at least 55% marks in aggregate.

For Ph.D. Research Course, the candidates should hold a Master's degree/ M.Phil. in relevant field with minimum 55% marks in aggregate. Final selection of candidates is done on the basis of:

• Entrance Test followed by Personal Interview conducted by CUSAT.
• UGC (NET)/ CSIR (JRF) Examination (for Ph.d.).
• SLET/ GATE/ Teacher Fellowship holders (for Ph.D.).
• Direct award of Fellowship by DST (INSPIRE), ICMR or any such national agency (Ph.D.).

The placement cell at CUSAT coordinates with all the departments and helps the students in securing jobs in the industry. It also acts as a connecting link between the students and the recruiters.
