Devi Ahilya University also called Indore University is a university operated by the state government of Madhya Pradesh, located at Indore. Devi Ahilya University was established in 1964 by an act of legislative assembly of Madhya Pradesh. University functions from its two campuses namely Nalanda and Takshshila. University administrative office is located at Nalanda Campus.RNT Marg and Teaching departments are at the Takshshila campus.

• The motto of the University is “God help us to improve our intellect, and guide it towards what is right".
• The university has more than 300 affiliated colleges imparting education at undergraduate and post-graduate levels in basic and professional disciplines. The university has 9000 students in its campus and a total of over 300,000 students in affiliated colleges.
• University spreads over an area of 760 acres in which academic classes hold in Takshila parisar (campus) of the university which spreads over an area of 510 acres and Avanti parisar (campus) which spreads over 154 acres. Nalanda parisar (campus) is for administrative and official works that spread over an area of 100 acres.
• In the year 2014 National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accredited university as an A grade university.
• The main objective of the institute is to provide specialized high-quality education by integrating traditional and modern scientific techniques in the teaching-learning process through on-campus, distance and part-time programs offered in a flexible and modular manner.

Admission Procedure -

Admission in UTD is through CET (Combined Entrance Test) organized every year by University in different districts of Madhya Pradesh. The competition for admission is very tough so as to be noted for 9000 seats over 150,000 applications in 2009.

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) of Indore, one of the most famous universities, was founded in the year 1964. It is located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. DAVV offers various UG, PG and Research level programs to the students in multiple streams such as Arts, Science, and Commerce, etc.

Admission to M.Phil and Ph.D. will be done on the basis of DET conducted by the university. Admission to several UG & PG Non-CET programs is done on the basis of Written Test followed by Counseling. The university offers several UG and PG courses for which admission is done on the basis of Computer Based Test (CBT) known as DAVV CET.

For admission to UG courses, a candidate must pass in 10+2 examination in relevant stream and subject from a recognized board. Minimum eligibility for PG courses is the candidate must pass in a relevant Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

The university offers BA, BCA, BCA (Hons), BSW, B.L.I.Sc., B.Pharm (Lateral Entry) and BPES courses at UG level.

Minimum eligibility for all UG courses is passing in 10+2 examination with a relevant stream from a recognized board.

Selection to BA Performing Arts is done on the basis of counseling and to BCA, BCA (Hons), BSW and B.L.I.Sc. is done on the basis of Written Test and Counseling. Admission to BPES is done on the basis of the Written Test, Fitness Test and Games Test. Admission to B.Pharm is done on the basis of B.Pharm (Lateral Entry) is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

The university offers a wide range of uniquely designed postgraduate courses in MA, M.Sc., MA/M.Sc., MBA, MSW, M.L.I.Sc. at the PG level.

Minimum eligibility for PG course is a candidate must pass in a graduation degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university.

Selection to the MA (Women Empowerment and Lifelong Learning), M.Sc. (Applied Mathematics) and MBA (Computer Management) is done on the basis of counseling. The university offers M.Phil and Ph.D. in various specializations. Minimum eligibility for research-level programs in candidates must pass in a Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks from recognized universities.

Selection is done on the basis of the DET entrance examination conducted by the university.

The university offers PG Diploma in various specializations. Minimum eligibility is candidate must pass in a graduate degree in any subject with minimum 50% marks. Selection to all the PG Diploma except Computer Application is done on the basis of Written Test and Counseling, whereas for Computer Application admission is done on the basis of Counseling.

Applicants seeking admission to BCA/ BCA (Hons)/ PGDCA/ M.Sc. (CS/IT), MBA (Computer Management/ Rural Development/ Public Administration & Policy), PG Diploma, MSW, BSW, MA (Sociology/Political Science/Clinical Psychology) must apply Online and pay application fees via mponline.gov.in.

For other programs, application in prescribed format must be submitted to respective teaching department/school/institute/center along with DD in favor of “Registrar, D.A.V.V. Indore” payable at Indore.

For M.Phil and Ph.D.:

Apply online and submit the application through the davv.mponline.gov.in website. Application fees for a single entrance test for Ph.D. or M.Phil are INR 1000 and INR 1500 for both entrance tests for Ph.D. and M.Phil.
