Gujarat Technological University (GTU) is a state university with 486 affiliated colleges. It is headed by the state government and came into existence on May 16, 2007. GTU is approved by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). It is the first University in Gujarat which uses many Information Technology tools for its major activities. The university has about 4,00,000 students enrolled in various UG, PG, Research and diploma courses.

GTU UG Courses Eligibility

GTU offers the large number of undergraduate courses in multiple streams such as Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Catering Technology, and Hotel Management. To be eligible for admission to any of the undergraduate program, students should have passed class 12 or equivalent with minimum required marks from a recognized board.

GTU admission criteria are different for every program. Admission to B.Tech program is done through valid GUJCET / JEE Main score wile for pharmacy courses, students need to appear for NATA exam. Final selection of candidates is done through the overall performance of the candidate.

GTU PG Courses Eligibility

GTU runs master programs in Business Management, Engineering, Pharmacy, Business Administration, Pharmacy Management, Technology Management, etc. Candidates who wish to apply for PG courses must have a bachelor’s degree in relevant stream with required marks from a well-recognized university or institute.

Selection of candidates is done through entrance exam score. Those who are applying for M.Tech program, need to appear for GATE/ GPAT/ PGCET. For MCA admission, students must qualify CMAT while for MBA program, GTU conducts its own entrance exam.

Established in 2007, Gujarat Technological University is a state university with its two campuses in Ahmedabad (Navarangnagar, Chandkheda) and one situated at Gandhinagar. With many pharmacy, engineering and management colleges under its jurisdiction, it offers a large number of Under Graduate courses viz. Bachelors in Engineering, pharmacy, Architecture, Hotel management and catering technology, Post Graduate courses viz. Admissions to the undergraduate professional courses are done by GTU through Online mode. The registration link is available at the official ACPC website. The information booklet with the PIN is available at the branches of DENA BANK throughout Gujarat for INR 500. Online registration for the courses generally starts in the last week of June spanning over September end

• Gujarat Technological University releases the application dates for UG programs considering the result date of Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C) exam. The admission is done on the basis of merit list and as per the government circular, colleges cannot take admission through any entrance test for the courses.
• The admission process mentioned here is for various Undegraduate courses offered by GTU such as BE, B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Architecture, B.Planning, B.Hotel and Tourism management etc.
• Admission to the Engineering courses are done on the basis of GUJCET/JEE main, where 60% weightage is given to HSC qualifying examination and 40% to the entrance exam scores.

For admission to first year of Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) in Govt., Grant in aid & Self Finaced Institutes in Gujarat State on state quota, out state quota of all Institutes and management quota surrendered seats of Self Finance Institutes, Govt of Gujarat has decided to carry out web based online admission process for the academic year.

Eligibility:

For Gujarat State Candidates:

• HSC (Std 12th) pass with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/SEBC/UEWS candidates)with MATHS/STATISTICS/BUSINESS MATHS or Diploma (10+3 pattern with maths subjects) of any stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/SEBC/UEWS candidates) and qualified in NATA

For Other State Candidates :

• HSC (Std 12th) pass with minimum 50% aggregate marks with MATHS/STATISTICS/BUSINESSMATHS or Diploma (10+3 pattern with maths subjects) of any stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks and qualified in NATA.
• As per provision in prevailing rules two seats are reserved in M. S. University for candidates who have passed F.Y.B.Sc. in current academic year with subjects Physics, Chemistry, Maths at first trial.

Gujarat Technological University M.Tech, M.Pharm Admission 2020

For the admission to first year of M.E./M.Tech and Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm.) programme in government, Grant-in aid and self financed institutes in Gujarat State, on state quota of all institutions and management quota surrendered seats of self financed institutes, Government of Gujarat has decided to carry out web based online admission process. Eligible candidates shall have to register online through internet for admission.

Eligibility:

• Candidate shall have passed B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/SEBC candidates) at qualifying exam for M.E. / M. Tech courses or B. Pharm with minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST/SEBC candidates) at qualifying exam for M. Pharm courses for seeking admission into post Graduate disciplines and its specialisations 
• Candidate should have qualified GATE/GPAT/PGCET

For the admission in first year of Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Application (MCA) and MCA Lateral Entry (Direct Second Y ear) in Government, Grant-in aid and Self Financed Institutes in Gujarat State, on State quota of all institutions and management quota surrendered seats of self financed institutes, Government of Gujarat has decided to carry out web based online admission process.

Eligibility :

• Graduate with minimum 50 % (45 % for SC/ST/SEBC) for MBA, MCA and MCA lateral
• For MCA, candidate shall also have passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (Standard XII, 10+2 pattern) or Bachelors’ degree with Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects.
•  For MCA Lateral Entry (direct Second Year), candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in the stream of Bachelor ofComputer Application or Bachelor of Science (IT) or Bachelor of Science (Computer) are only eligible
• Candidate must have qualified CMAT.

Gujarat Technological University Diploma Admission 2020

Admissions to the diploma courses post SSC is conducted by GTU every year post SSC result declaration. The admission process followed by the university is Online and can be carried out through the official GTU website. Candidate needs to collect the brochure which holds the PIN from the designated branch of DENA BANK available across the state of Gujarat for Rs. 250/- as the required fee. Online Application process usually starts from March every year and the entire admission process is conducted in rounds until the end of September. The admission is done purely on the basis of Merit.

The university follows multiple application processes for admission of candidates to its Undergraduate, postgraduate, research and diploma programmes as follows:

• Admission of students to regular bachelor and master program is done by "Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC)" and the students can log on to the official ACPC website for the detailed application process.

The general reservation policy for the admissions stands as the following:

GTU offers various scholarships and schemes for the meritorious students as well as for the underpriviledged ones.
