Guru Nanak Dev University is a government state university, affiliated by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade and also UGC, New Delhi confirmed. GNDU is situated in Amritsar, Punjab, established in the year 1969 in the name of Guru Nanak Ji on his 500th birthday. The university promises to impart education and encouraging research in Arts & Social Sciences, Nature and Life Sciences and Technologies.

The University situated in Amritsar, Punjab within 500 acres of land presents the picture of dream University. 50 years old, the traditional red-brick campus also gives a challenge to modern architectures. GNDU is a parent university of 148 colleges and 71 institutions mostly in rural areas. The main motive of the University is to raise wisdom and uplift backward classes.

GNDU Admissions and eligibility

The University has endeavored to reach out to every kind of interest a student can have. It offers bachelor degrees, master’s degrees, Ph.D. and a diploma in mostly all the courses from Arts, Science and Technology and Management department. Admission of a few courses are taken by Online Entrance Test, candidates are supposed

• Enter their GNDU login credentials
• Give the entrance
• Wait till the results are declared.

Generally, in the month of June-July, GNDU results in a release. While a few courses can be pursued without entrance test.

Minimum eligibility for such courses is 50% total aggregate in 10+2.

GNDU Engineering & Architecture Courses

The University offers fourteen types of courses in Bachelor of Technology and two major courses, seven types of courses in Master of Technology.

While there is only one type of course in Architecture for Bachelor as well as at Master level.

The major technical courses are B.Tech in

• CSE,
• ECE,
• Food,

And architecture programs like B.Arch and M.Arch.

GNDU Management Courses 

In the Management department, the University offers only one course that is MBA - Master of Business Applications. Though the University has made sure that the single management courses help and grooms its students in every way. The minimum eligibility for taking admission in MBA, GNDU is 10+2+3(with Mathematics) and a good rank in ICET/CET entrance. MBA students of the University get the best recruitment every year.
