K.C.G. Verghese established Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science in 1985. Previously, it was known as Hindustan College of Engineering. The higher education institute is granted the status of deemed to be a university. Its headquarters is located in Chennai, India. It is a part of the Hindustan Group of Institutions. It has established seven schools and ten research centres.

Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Admission Process

For taking admission in undergraduate programmes of engineering, the candidates have to appear for HITSEE. It is an online entrance examination and is conducted every year. For the postgraduate programmes in engineering, an entrance test is conducted. Based on the marks in the test, they will be called for group discussions. They also have to give interviews. For other undergraduate courses in arts and science, the institute sets up minimum eligibility criteria. The application forms should be filled up by the eligible candidates and submitted. The candidates who reside outside India are also eligible to apply to the institute.
