The Kunhitharuvai Memorial Charitable Trust Group of Institutions or KMCT was established in 1994 by Dr. K. Moidu a leading medical practitioner and a visionary educationist for imparting quality education in different professional fields. KMCT is located in the serene hillocks of Manassery and Mampatta around 25 Km from Calicut in Kerala. Away from the commotion of the city, the Campus is set in a lush green and tranquil environment - an ideal place to pursue education. The first institute to come up under KMCT was the National College of Pharmacy in 1994 and from this humble beginning, there are now more than thirteen professional and non-professional institutions in our Manassery Campus in Calicut and Kuttipuram campus in Malappuram. More than 7000 students study in our campuses. The campuses of Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIM K), National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NIT-C), Indian Institute of Spices Research (IISR), National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) are all situated in a radius of 10 km from the campus.

KMCT Institutions are ideally located in the picturesque hillocks of Kallanthode, Manassery and Mampatta 25 km from Kozhikode city. The serene environment is most conducive for academic pursuits, being far from the din and bustle of the city. Proximity to other educational and research institutions of national importance like IIM, NIT and NIELIT  also add to the importance of the region which is fast becoming a learning hub of Kerala. Kozhikode is well connected by roads and railways to different parts of the state and country. Kozhikode airport, located at Karipur offers domestic flights as well as a few international flights.
