LPU Courses Offered

LPU Engineering

The University offers several specializations in B.Tech. and Integrated B.Tech + MBA program and B.Tech. (Hons.) and Integrated B.Tech + M.Tech. Additionally, the university also offers M.Tech program at the PG level.

Eligibility:

• The minimum eligibility to apply for the engineering program at UG level is 10+2 with minimum 60% marks in PCM, subject to qualifying LPUNEST.
• Whereas, at the PG level the minimum eligibility to apply is a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with minimum 60% marks.

LPU MBA

In the department of Management, the university offers, BBA(Hons.), Dual Degree BBA(Hons.) + MBA, Integrated BBA + MBA and Dual Degree BBA + MBA. LPU offers five specializations in the BBA program, thirteen specializations in MBA program and fourteen specializations in MBA (Specialized) program.

Eligibility

• Minimum Eligibility to apply for Management program at the UG level is 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 with English. At the PG level, minimum eligibility to apply for the MBA program is 55% aggregate marks in Graduation.
• Valid qualified scores of CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT OR LPUNEST along with interview is compulsory to get admission.

LPU Architecture Courses

LPU offers the B.Arch program at the UG level and M.Arch program at the PG level.

Eligibility:

• Candidates applying to B.Arch program must pass 10+2 with minimum 60% marks (English and Mathematics as mandatory subjects) along with valid NATA scores.
• For those applying to M.Arch program, a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks is mandatory.

LPU Law Courses

LPU offers BA+L.L.B /BBA+L.L.B/ L.L.B at the undergraduate level and L.L.M at the Postgraduate level.

Eligibility:

• For BA+L.L.B /BBA+L.L.B, the candidate must pass 12th with minimum 60% marks and for L.L.B, 50% in any Bachelor’s Degree.
• Also, valid scores of CLAT/LSAT or LPUNEST is compulsory.
• For L.L.M, a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks is mandatory.

LPU Ph.D. Admissions

LPU offers a Ph.D. degree in fifty-two specializations at the Doctoral level. Minimum Eligibility to apply is a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks. The courses at the Research level are offered on both a Full-Time and Part-Time basis. Candidates applying to the Ph.D. courses need to appear for LPUNEST (National Entrance and Scholarship Test). Final selection will be made after the interview rounds based on the results of LPUNEST.

Key Points: Candidates who have qualified UGC (NET/ JRF) / CSIR / (NET /JRF) / ICAR (JRF/SRF) / SLET / GATE / GPAT/ holds Teacher Fellowship or passed M.Phil. program are exempted from LPUNEST.

NOTE:  Candidates taking admission in LPU has to appear in LPUNEST (University Entrance Test) for certain courses if they have not appeared in any National Tests.

Lovely Professional University (LPU) is a semi-residential university college in North India created under the Punjab State Private University Act 2005. Lovely Professional University (LPU) offers around 200 courses in diploma, undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels with various specialization.

Admission to all the regular courses is through LPUNEST or equivalent examination followed by interview or group discussion rounds for further evaluation of the candidates. 5% relaxation in eligibility criteria will be given to North-East applicants i.e. applicants who have completed their Qualifying Exam or have Domicile from the North East States.

LPU B.Tech Admission 2020

LPU offers the B.Tech courses with a wide variety of specializations. The engineering degrees include B.Tech., B.Tech. (H), Integrated B.Tech-M.Tech. as well as Integrated B.Tech+M.B.A. courses with a number of specialization subjects.

The B.Tech. degree offered for a duration of four years is available with 16 different specialization subjects. The B.Tech (H) degree also offered for a duration of four years is available with eight different specialization subjects.

The Integrated B.Tech. + M.Tech. the course is offered with eight different specialization subjects, whereas, the Integrated B.Tech. + M.B.A. course is offered with 16 different specialization subjects. Both the Integrated programmes are offered for a duration of five years.

Admission to all these courses are through LPUNEST (LPU National Entrance and Scholarship Test) conducted by the University. LPUNEST will provide a gateway to all engineering programmes in LPU and will act as an Entrance test for admission in Engineering Programmes at LPU. Candidates with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics, and English) are eligible for appearing in LPUNEST.

LPU UG Admission 2020

Lovely Professional University offers a number of UG courses like B.Des., B.Sc., B.Pharm., LL.B., Hotel Management, B.C.A. and B.P.T., B.Com., B.B.A. and B.Pharm. courses along with various Integrated and Dual-Degree courses.

The B.Design and B.Sc. Design courses are offered with six specialization subjects. The regular B.Sc. (Pass) courses are offered with 16 different specialization subjects, whereas, the B.Sc. (Honours) the course offered 13 different specialization subjects.

For admission to all the undergraduate courses offered at LPU, all the candidates need to sit for LPUNEST and based on the academic score of the candidates as well as the score in the entrance test, final merit list for the candidates are prepared.

LPU PG Admission 2020

Lovely Professional University offers a plethora of courses at the postgraduate level under which includes M.A., M.Sc., M.B.A., M.Com., M.Tech, LL.M., etc. degrees under various specialization subjects.

The MBA course is offered under 47 different streams. All these courses are offered for a duration of two years. For admission to the M.B.A. programmes, a candidate needs to sit for LPUNEST which is followed by the Interview and Group Discussion rounds.

Candidate with 80 percentile in CAT / MAT / XAT or having 15,000 or below rank in CMAT or 600 marks in GMAT are exempted from appearing for LPUNEST

For admission to all the other PG level courses at LPU, the candidates need to appear for LPUNEST and the merit list is prepared considering the marks obtained in LPUNEST as well as in the previous qualifying examination.

LPU Ph.D. Admission 2020

Lovely Professional University offers the Ph.D. degree in 52 different fields of research. These courses are offered both as full-time and part-time courses.

Candidates applying for the Ph.D. courses need to appear for LPUNEST (National Entrance and Scholarship Test), and candidates are shortlisted for the interview rounds based on the results of LPUNEST.

The final selection is done on the basis of performance in Interview subject to scoring minimum marks. Candidates can apply for Ph.D. (Spring Term) admissions through online mode only.

Key Points:

• Applicants who have qualified UGC (NET/JRF) / CSIR / (NET/JRF) / ICAR (JRF/SRF) / SLET / GATE / GPAT/ holds Teacher Fellowship or passed M.Phil. program are exempted from LPUNEST.

LPU Distance Education Admission 2020

Lovely Professional University, other than its regular classroom classes, also offers various courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level through Distance Education.

The University offers seven courses at the UG level including two diploma courses along with four courses at the PG level. Admission to all the Distance Education courses is based on merit of the candidates and they are not required to appear for any entrance test.

Lovely Professional University (LPU) invites application in both online and offline format as well. To fill the application form for various courses of Lovely Professional University candidates can obtain and submit using one of the following methods.

Candidates willing to apply in various courses of LPU can apply online using the official website of the University

Duly filled form, completed with all the required documents should be submitted along with Fee payment using net banking method of payment to complete the application process.

• LPUNEST Kit (Printed) and Application form – INR 1000/- (Boys) and INR 700/- (Girls)

After Purchasing LPUNEST-2020 Kit-
Applicants may obtain LPUNEST-2020 Kit from University Campus/ Camp Offices after a cash payment of INR 800 (for boys) INR 500 (girls).

1. Duly filled form along with all the required documents should be submitted at the university office before the due date.
2.  In case the applicant does not want to send the hard copy of purchased application form:
   • Fill the application form at www.lpu.in
   • When asked whether LPUNEST Kit already purchased or not, Click “Yes” if you have purchased the LPUNEST Kit. Fill the OMR sheet No. and Unique OMR code, in the given space.
   • Submit and save the copy of completed application form for your reference.

For regular classroom courses: 

1. Candidates can register for LPUNEST both using the online and offline method.
2. For registering online, candidates need to fill the application form available at the official website of the University and pay an application fee online.
3. For registering offline, the applicant can obtain LPUNEST Kit from University Campus / Camp Offices or any other prescribed place  

For Distance Education courses:

1. The prospectus may be purchased from the Division of Admissions at the university campus or such other locations as specified by the university.
2. The applicant should submit the necessary documents, both self-attested and attested by the competent authority (i.e. a Gazetted Officer or Notary or any other appropriate authority as prescribed by the university) with seal.
