MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (MSRUAS), Bangalore is a private university established by Karnataka State Act in 2013. It is sponsored by Gokula Education Foundation (Medical) trust.  It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and also a Member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).  It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in varied fields such as design, pharmacy, dental surgery, hotel management, science, dialysis therapy technology, medical radiology, physics, chemistry, maths, technology, etc. The University has been ranked 12th for Dental by India Today in 2019. The institution has four faculties:

M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences participates in various scholarships offered by various Govt. and Non-Govt. agencies:

• Govt. of India Scholarship: Candidates who have secured a minimum of 80% of marks in Class 12 or equivalent examination and whose parental income is less than or equal to Rs 4.5 lakh
• Post Metric Scholarship to SC/ST Students whose family income is less than Rs 2.5 LPA
• Post Metric Scholarship for SC/ST Students whose parental income is more than Rs 2.5 LPA
• Defence Scholarship: The Department of Technical Education, Govt. of Karnataka awards Defence Scholarship to Children of defence personnel. To this scholarship only UG students are eligible
• Ex-Defence Scholarship: Children of ex-defence personnel can obtain scholarship application from the department of Sainik welfare and will be applied with the recommendation of Principal

The department of Backward class and the minority will award a scholarship to students whose parental annual income is less than or equal to Rs. 2.5 lakh
