National Institute Of Construction Management And Research, famously known as NICMAR is a Construction Management & research center and a non-profit management institute that offers education in the field of management and construction engineering. The institute was founded in 1983 by the joint efforts of the major construction companies in India. The Department of Scientific Research of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, recognized the institute as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO).

Note: Typically, the total living expenses including hostel, mess and any other expenses at Pune/ Hyderabad (Shamirpet)/Goa (Farmagudi)/Delhi NCR (Bahadurgarh) are approximately Rs. 12,000/-to Rs. 14,000/-per month.
NICMAR Admission Process
The selection of students is made by the selection committee. Admissions are administered centrally from Pune campus.
- All specified documents must be submitted. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Applications are scrutinised and eligibility is established on the basis of documents submitted.
- Eligible candidates will be invited to appear for the selection procedure, which comprises of NICMAR Common Admission Test (NCAT) (or, other entrance examinations as specified below), Personal Interview (PI) and Rating of Application (RA).
The details are as follows: The RA is calculated on the basis of weighted scores of the cumulative academic performance along with work experience (wherever applicable) obtained from the documents submitted to NICMAR by the candidates. NCAT Test

Selection of candidates is done on the basis of merit. The merit list is drawn on the basis of performance in NCAT/CAT/GATE/GMAT/CMAT, PI and RA. Admission offer letters are issued in the order of merit. Candidate's preference of programme/campus will be considered, but the allotment will be done at the sole discretion of the admission department, NICMAR.
