Under NIFT Hyderabad Admissions 2020, all the admissions to the UG & PG Courses are conducted on the basis of the NIFT-2020 entrance exam.

National Institute of Fashion Technology abbreviated as NIFT is one of the premier fashion, design and technology institutes in India. One of the sixteen campuses, NIFT Hyderabad laid its foundation in 1995 under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. It is known to offer degree courses of Bachelor of Design, Bachelor of Fashion Technology and Master of Fashion Management.
- Applications are invited through a single online admission portal and candidates can apply online while remitting the fees in both offline (via DD) and online modes (via Debit/Credit cards).
- Offline applications must be sent to NIFT Head Quarters along with DD of requisite fee within the given time period.
- Eligibility criteria for UG courses is to pass in class 12 examinations; MFM needs a pass in three-year bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

NIFT, Hyderabad UG Admission 2020
At undergraduate level NIFT, Hyderabad runs degree courses of Bachelor of Design in five specializations and Bachelor of Fashion Technology. A total of thirty seats are offered for each specialization and BFT. All candidates interested in applying for B.Design course need to be class 12 pass in any stream from a recognized state board/university. While candidates opting for B.F.Tech must have passed class 12 examinations in science stream.
The selection procedure is centralized conducted on the basis of candidates’ performance in entrance test. A list of candidates for B.Design is prepared after considering candidates performance in General Ability Test (GAT), Creative Ability Test (CAT) and Situation Test. In case of B.F.Tech candidate’s performance in GAT is the final test of selection.

Key Points:
- GAT comprises of five sections: 1) Quantitative Ability 2) Communication Ability 3) English Comprehension 4) Analytical Ability 5) General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
- CAT judges a candidate’s intuitive, creative and illustrations skills while Situation Test is a hands-on test to evaluate skills for material handling and innovative ability on a given situation with a given set of materials.
- Only candidates shortlisted after entrance test will qualify for Situation Test.
- The final merit list will be prepared after taking into consideration the weightage assigned to each component: GAT (50%), CAT (30%), Situation Test (20%).
- Thereafter, candidates will be required to appear in counselling and report for admission on a given date and time along with necessary documents.
NIFT, Hyderabad MFM Admission 2020
NIFT, Hyderabad offers two-year degree course of Masters in Fashion Management (MFM). The total intake of the course is 30. Candidates applying for MFM must also appear in GAT followed by call for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Eligibility for MFM remains Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institution. Candidates possessing three-year Diploma from NIFT/NID are also eligible to apply.

NIFT, Hyderabad Application Process 2020
All candidates are invited to apply online with an option to pay the application fee in online and offline mode. Candidates are requested to read the prospectus carefully before making an application.
- Candidates are required to apply online at the official common website for NIFT.
- The application fee is INR 1500 for general category candidates and INR 750 for SC/ST/PHP candidates that can be remitted through online payment gateway or offline mode.
- In online mode candidates can submit the form online and pay through Debit Card/Credit Card.
- The Bank and transaction charges will be borne by the applicant.
- In offline mode candidates can pay through Demand Draft issued in favor of “NIFT HO”, payable at New Delhi.
