NIFT Kangra Admissions
The institute offers two types of bachelor programs, B.FTech, and Bachelor of Design, the admission process of both the courses are different from one another. Applicants seeking admission to National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kangra in any course have to:

National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kangra offers two under graduation courses, Bachelor Programs in design in four disciplines and Bachelor Program in Technology in one discipline.
Candidate must have the qualifying marksheet of 10+2. Along with this, they need to appear for ‘Creative ability Test’ conducted by the institute which will include written entrance examination, situation test, group discussion and personal interview.

- Minimum age to apply for admissions in NIFT is 17 years.

Application form of National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kangra could be filled via online mode. Once, applicant satisfy the stated eligibility criteria, they can go ahead on the official website of NIFT, Kangra and register themselves to fill the application form. The whole process is elaborated below, step wise:
- Go to the official website of NIFT, Kangra, that is, www.nift. ac.in.
- Register on the site and create a user id and password.
- Applicant might get a verification mail on their e-mail address.
- Once verified, they need to login on NIFT, Kangra website with the created user name and password.
- They will then have to locate for the link “NIFT UG Application form 2020”.
- Tap on the link which will direct you to another webpage and the application form will appear on the display.
- Fill the application form with all the genuine personal and academic details.
- Once filled, they need to make the payment of INR 1500 for General/OBC (Non-Creamy) Category and INR 750 for SC/ ST/ PHP Category.
- The Application form fee has to be paid via online payment gateway or via Bank Demand Draft (DD).
- Online payment gateway includes payment via debit card/credit card/net banking. The Bank as well as transaction charges on the application form fee shall be borne by the applicant.
- Demand Draft must be issued in favour of "NIFT HO" where name, date, amount & signature of the issuing authority mentioned on it.
- Applicants who will apply through Demand Draft is required to mail the printout of the Application Form which must be completed in all respect, along with Demand Draft on the address mentioned below:

The respective filled NIFT, Kangra application form along with the corresponding demand draft must reach the above address in time i.e. before the announced last date, to avoid rejection of the form and candidature. Moreover, the institute does not take up any responsibility of the loss of form, delay in any way or correspondence in postal transit or by courier.
- Once candidates’ admissions get finalized, the following original documents along with its photocopy, would be required to submit in the college:-
- 12th standard qualifying examination marks sheet and certificate.
- If candidate has appeared for qualifying exam/compartment and the result of the same is due, the datasheet and admit card for examination has to be submitted.
- Candidate’s Date of birth proof (Secondary School Mark Sheet & Certificate)
- Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC non-creamy/Physically Handicapped) certificates for State Domicile is required for admissions.

- Affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of INR 10 for seeking provisional admission only in case, the result of qualifying examination is yet to be declared (in the format at Annexure-I).
