  National Institute of Fashion Technology, NIFT, Patna was established in 2008

  The institute offers Bachelor of Fashion Technology & Bachelor of Design (in four disciplines) at the under graduate level and Masters in Fashion Management at the post graduate level.

  Additionally, NIFT Patna also offers a one-year Certificate course in Fashion and Clothing technology.

  • Candidates applying for UG and Certificate course need to pass 10+2 and for PG course candidate must have done graduation in the relevant discipline.
  • Selection to all the courses is done on the basis of NIFT Entrance Exam.
  • 20% seats above the prescribed quota for each course are reserved for students of Bihar.
  • Direct admission to the second year of any course is also provided. Candidates will have sit for NLEA exam for lateral entry admission.
  • For Bachelor’s programs, the upper age limit is 23 years, whereas for Master program, there is no age limit.
  • For SC/ST/PHP candidates, maximum relaxation of five years can be given to the limit.

  NIFT Patna UG Courses Admission 2020

  
  At UG level NIFT, Patna offers B.Design course in four disciplines and a B.Ftech course for four-year duration.

  Candidates applying for both of these courses should have passed HSC or equivalent exam from a recognized board.

  Selection to B.Design courses is on the basis of NIFT entrance exam- CAT (Creative Ability Test) and GAT (General Ability Test) followed by a situation test and for B.Ftech course selection is on the basis of GAT entrance exam only.

  Key Points to remember for UG Admission:

  • Candidates applying must be at most of 23 years of age as on October 01, 2020.
  • The entrance exam has no negative marking.
  • For B.Design course, entrance exam will be held from 10 AM to 1 PM and GAT will be from 2 PM to 4 PM.
  • Schedule for B.Ftech course entrance exam is 10 AM to 1 PM.

  NIFT Patna PG Courses Admission 2020

  NIFT, Patna offers Master of Fashion Management course at PG level. Candidates applying must have done graduation from a recognized institute.

  Selection to the course is on the basis of GAT entrance exam followed by Group Discussion and Interview.

  Key Points to remember for PG Admission:

  • GAT entrance exam for MFM course will be held from 10 AM to 1 PM.

  For UG & PG Courses:

  For both the UG and PG courses, application forms can only be submitted through online mode.

  • Go to the official website of the college.
  • Click on the link available for Online Application and fill the application form.
  • Pay the application fees through Online or Offline mode.
  • In online mode, pay through Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card.
  • In offline mode, pay through Demand Draft which be issued in favor of "NIFT HO", payable at New Delhi.
  • Application Fees: INR 1500 (OBC Non-Creamy/General) and INR 700 (SC/ST/PwD).
  • Candidates paying the fee through Demand Draft are required to send the printout of the application form, duly completed in all respect, along with Demand Draft on the  following address:

  For Certificate Course:

  • Application forms for the certificate course can be obtained from the NIFT, Patna campus till September 20, 2020.
  • Forms can also be downloaded from official website of the college.
  • Admission Form complete in all respects should be submitted to NIFT Patna.
  • Submit by post under registered cover super scribed “CE Admission Form 2020” or by hand along with a Demand Draft of INR 1800 drawn in favor of National Institute of Fashion Technology, payable at Patna.

  Documents required at the time of Admission:

  • Mark sheets and Passing Certificates of SSC and HSC
  • Mark sheets of each semester of UG course (for PG courses)
  • Caste and PwD certificate (if applicable)
  • Proof of Date of Birth (Secondary School Mark Sheet & Certificate)
