It offers BA LLB (Hons) degree, master’s in law with specialization in business laws and human rights laws, Master’s in public policy, MPhil degree programme, a PhD programme in social science, LLD – Doctor of Law degree and diploma courses. The university has also adopted the method of distance education for certain courses. It offers postgraduate diploma courses in intellectual property rights law, medical law and ethics, environmental law, child rights law, consumer law & practice and cyber law & cyber forensics, human rights law.
NLSIU Bangalore Admission Process
The Common Law Admission Test is conducted every year and a merit list is prepared according to the marks obtained in the test. Selected candidates can take admission in the BA LLB (Hons) degree course. Candidates belonging to the general category should be less than 20 years in the month of July of the year of admission and should have secured 50% marks in 12th standard exam.
For SC, ST candidates and candidates with a disability, it is 45% and they should be 22 years old. Admission into the Master’s of law programme takes place according to the CLAT 2015 common Rule. For the MPhil degree programme, the minimum eligibility criterion is 55% or B+ grade in an LLM degree. The university conducts an admission test. Along with qualifying the exam, the candidate has to submit a research proposal of 10-12 pages. Foreign nationals do not have to appear for the admission test.
