Pear Academy offers the following scholarships to candidates in order to make education easily accessible for all:

• Media Scholarship: 50% scholarship on the tuition fee for the entire course (net 33% scholarship on total fee) will be offered to the candidates scoring more than 50% marks in the Media Scholarship Test. This Scholarship is available for UG Pathway and PG Pathway courses in Media & Communication and Advertising & Marketing.
• Merit-cum-means Scholarship: Offered to the students with economically poor background whose family income is less than Rs. 6 LPA.
• Chairman’s Scholarship: Offered to the deserving candidates under the Chairman’s fund who is economically poor and academically strong. Preference is given to the wards of Single parents.

Pearl Academy, Mumbai Admissions 2020: Application form, Important Dates

Established in May 2004, Pearl Academy, Mumbai with a focus on entrepreneurship and employability, caters to the needs of the fashion, design, retail industry and business. Pearl Academy offers multiple 4-year under-graduation courses, 2-year post-graduation programs, and diploma courses in Design and Fashion. Admission to the courses offered is done through General Proficiency Test (GPT) or Design Aptitude Test (DAT) conducted by the Academy.

• The minimum eligibility to apply for Bachelor’s courses is 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with 50% marks.  
• Candidate applying for 2-year Master’s courses must be a Graduate in any discipline.

The basic eligibility to apply for Bachelor’s degree is 10+2 from a recognized board. The minimum eligibility to apply for the same is to pass 10+2 level examination with 50% marks from a recognized board. The courses extend to the duration of 4-years of duration.

The School of Design offers specialized and flexible pathways in three broad verticals – Spatial Design, Product Design and Communication Design. Candidates will be finally assessed based on the scores in GPT or DAT written test followed by the Personal Interview.

Applicants who are looking for admission to the PG courses in Design or Fashion will have to appear for GPT or DAT entrance exam conducted by the Academy along with the personal interview to be eligible for admission.

Professional program of 1-year or 11-months duration is offered by Pearl Academy of Fashion to the aspiring students. It offers intensive conceptual and practical study for a career in fashion hair and makeup design. The certificate is offered in 3 terms of 13 weeks each, covering a range of skills in makeup, hair styling, hair design and special effects makeup, besides visual studies and IT. Pearl Academy of Fashion invites online applications for admission to its various programs. The application process for all the courses is as follows:

Online mode:

1. Visit the official homepage of Pearl Academy Website.
2. Candidates are required to Register Online using a Valid e-mail ID before applying.
3. Application fee of INR 1,100 can be paid using Credit Card/ Debit Card or Demand Draft.
4. The Demand Draft must be in favour of "Creative Arts Education Society" payable at New Delhi.

Guidelines for Applying Online using Credit / Debit Card:

• Click on Apply Online and select Payment by Credit Card / Debit Card.
• Select two choices of Course and Campus.
• Fill only one choice for MA course.
• Duly fill up the Online Application form.
• Click on SAVE button and SUBMIT your application.
• You will be directed to a payment gateway.
• After completion of your Online Application and payment authorization, SAVE the filled in Online Application form in the given format and take a print out for future reference.

Application Process For International Overseas Candidates

The selection process of the international students will be as under:

Following Documents need to be submitted before admission committee by the international students:

1. Copy of valid passport
2. 2 recent passport-size photographs
3. All relevant certificates/degrees/mark sheets of the qualifying examination in support of the eligibility conditions as prescribed for Admission. The Equivalence of the degree/ School certificate may be procured by the applicant from the Association of Indian University (AIU) before submission of his/ her application.

Pearl Academy Scholarships

In order to facilitate the studies of needy students and to honour the meritorious batch of students, Pearl Academy of Fashion provides a number of scholarships to their students. 

For New Students:

Merit cum Means Scholarship

Pearl Academy awards Merit-cum-Means Scholarship to new entrants in regular UG and PG Pathway courses at the time of admission for their first year to meritorious students with limited means to benefit from world-class education in, Design, Fashion and Business offered at the Academy.

The Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (New Entrants) provides a partial waiver of tuition fee to a maximum of 10% of new entrants. Merit-cum-Means Scholarship waives payment of Tuition Fee only for the current Academic Year (First Year only) in the following categories:

1.  50% waiver of Tuition fee
2.  25% waiver of Tuition fee

Merit Criteria:

• For UG applicants – Marks in the 10th & 12th examination as well as I Pearl entrance exam/ personal interview/ studio test.
• For PG applicants – Based on merit in 12th and Graduation as well as Pearl entrance exam/ personal interview and Studio Test.

Means Criterion:

The Annual gross family income from all sources should be maximum INR 6,00,000. Additional weightage is given to the wards of a single parent.

For Existing Students:

Merit Scholarships – Merit Scholarship will be awarded annually to the students who have topped in their disciplines.

Merit Scholarship (Course Toppers) is subject to: –

• Course Topper achieving the minimum of 60% marks.
• The awardee should maintain the minimum prescribed aggregate attendance.

Industry scholarship – Few scholarships are sponsored by reputed companies for deserving students who are enrolled in regular UG/PG/MA Programs.

Industry Scholarship will be awarded based on academic performance of the applicants in each program as given under:

• Full scholarships to students who secure between First to Fifth rank in their course.
• Part scholarships to students who are ranked below 5th position.

Note: A student will be eligible for only one type of Scholarship in each Academic year. The scholarship amount will only be adjusted against student fees.
