College of Engineering (RVCE), Bengaluru. In 1995, the department shifted to an independent new building within the RVCE campus. The department obtained autonomy and renamed to R.V School of Architecture in 2009. Later in the same year, Council of Architecture (COA), India, approved its re-designation to R.V College of Architecture.
In 2014, it shifted to a new campus with affiliation to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, Karnataka. The new campus is an iconic example of contemporary architecture. It contains Academic Block class rooms, seminar halls & studios, Administration Block & Hostel Block.
LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
Faculty with expertise in specialised areas is the core strength of RVCA. Core faculty are carefully hand-picked, and nurtured to bring out scholarly environment. Reputed architects from Bengaluru and other places are actively associated with the college as visiting and adjunct faculty.
RVCA offers quality improvement programs (QIP) for faculty of architecture and continuing education programs for professionals as and when requested by COA.
The Indian Institute of Architects, Karnataka chapter has collaborated with the RVCA to organize workshops and seminars.
Student and faculty exchanges programs took place between RVCA and University of Muenster, Germany and Moratuwa University, Sri Lanka
RSST created 26 education institutes (as of now) including nursery, schools, technical and non-technical, vocational and professional institutes. With its state-of-the-art infrastructure and services, it is creating a unique style of imparting education across various domains and is one of the finest Group of Educational Institutions in the state of Karnataka, India. It has marked its presence in virtually every field of academics.
WORKING STRUCTURE
The RV Group of Educational Institution has more than 350 member trustees, with 28 elected Board members (for the term of 3 years) who take care of the activities of everything happening within its different institutes.
The trust has an executive committee presided by one President along with two Vice-Presidents, Honorary Treasurer, Honorary Secretary and Honorary Joint Secretary, who all together take care of the day to day affairs of the trust and its affiliated institutions. Each board member is associated with one of the 26 institutions run and maintained by RSST.
