School Of Petroleum Management has been one of the top notch colleges in its sector. The Management School was first rooted as the Institute of Petroleum Management, Gandhinagar (IPMG) in 2006 as an aegis of Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute (GERMI) which was established as a trust and a society by GSPC (Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation), a Government of Gujarat Undertaking. In the following year of 2007, GERMI established Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) and IPMG became the constituent of PDPU, and the name of the college was changed to School of Petroleum Management (SPM). The college dwells with a vision of being an internationally renowned national figure and serve as the torch bearer in quality management education. SPM thrives to provide the most and diversified form of Energy Engineering and make intellects who can fulfill their social obligations by making energy efficient and environmentally viable machines. The institute has its prime objective of acting as the hub of research in the field of energy efficiency for the national and international practitioners alike. In this respect many internationally acclaimed universities have signed treaties of intellectual agreement with School of Petroleum Management and serve as assets in its cause of rising as an energy management superpower.

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University School Of Petroleum Management (PDPU SPM) is located in Gujarat, Gandhinagar. It is a private University established by GERMI through the State act passed on April 4, 2007. The university offers management courses.

(c) Post Graduate Diploma in Petroleum Management-Executive (PGDPM-X) 

Eligibility: A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate.

Selection Process:

• Candidate must have valid score card of CAT/ XAT to pursue in MBA program.
• Then, short-listed candidates from test will be called for Group Discussions (GD), Personal interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT).
