School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi Admission 2020: Eligibility, Cut Off

School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) was established in the year 1941 and is located in New Delhi. SPA offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs under the architecture, planning and design departments.

The undergraduate degrees offered at School of Planning and Architecture are Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning with a total of 141 available seats. Master of Planning, Master of Architecture, Master of Building Engineering and Management, and Master of Landscape Architecture are the postgraduate courses offered at SPA. SPA provides facilities for students to take up research work leading to a Ph.D. degree under the various departments.

• Candidates who have completed their 10+2 studies with Mathematics as compulsory subject and 50% minimum marks in the 10+2 qualifying examinations are eligible for admission into the B.Arch. and B.Plan. courses at SPA.
• Candidates who are applying for the B.Arch. and B.Plan. courses will be allotted seats based on their performance in the JEE Main.
• Admission in postgraduate courses will be granted to candidates who have completed their undergraduate education from a relevant field of study with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Selection to PG courses will be based on qualifying degree and subsequent testing rounds which will be conducted by SPA.
• Candidates applying to Ph.D. programs are required to have completed their Master’s degree in a relevant field of study with minimum 55% marks.

School Of Planning And Architecture B.Arch And B.Plan Admission 2020

School of Planning and Architecture offers B.Arch and B.Plan at UG level. Candidates are required to have completed their 10+2 studies with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and should have obtained minimum 50% marks to be eligible for admission.

Selection is based on candidates’ JEE Main entrance exam score.

Seat will be allotted based on the JEE Main rankings by the JoSAA (Joint Seat Selection Authority).

Key Points:

• Admissions to B.Arch. / B. Plan. Courses under the category of FN / NRI / PIO will be through Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA).
• Candidates who have been granted admission at SPA are required to report at the college and register by filling out and submitting an application form at the college office.

School Of Planning And Architecture PG Admission 2020

Admission in PG courses at SPA is granted to candidates who have completed their bachelor’s degree from relevant fields of study with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC / ST / OBC candidates) in the qualifying degree examination.

Candidates will be evaluated in the following five areas as part of the admission procedure:

• Performance in the qualifying examination,
• Portfolio of work,
• Personal Interaction with the program faculty and / or written test.
• Interest and motivation for the chosen study and
• Work Experience.

A cumulative score obtained from the above five areas will be used to draw up a merit list, based on which candidates will be granted admission into the PG courses.

Note: Reservation of seats is as follows: Foreign National (FN – 10%), Non Resident Indian (NRI -3%) and Person of Indian Origin (PIO – 2%).

School of Planning and Architecture offers Ph.D. in various specializations. Minimum eligibility requires to have master’s degree in any discipline or allied discipline with 10-year of work experience. Candidates who have bachelor’s degree can also apply provide they have wor experience. Selection will be merit based.

Key Points for Admission:

• Admission to Doctoral Programs are processed twice in a year at the start of either semester (January/ July) of an academic session.
• For Ph.D. (Part-Time), the eligibility criteria will be the same as above except that the applicant should have an additional work experience of five-year over that specified above and should obtain a letter of consent from the employer, if any.

For UG Admission:

• Mode of application is offline.
• After seats are allotted by JoSAA process, selected candidates are required to fill the application form available at the school counter.
• Application fee is INR 100 and can be paid at the school.

For PG Admission:

• Mode of application is online.
• Candidates are required to fill the application form available online at the official website.
• Application fees is INR 1,500 and can only be paid online.
• After the candidate has paid the application fees and submitted the filled online form, he / she will be informed of subsequent admission rounds through e-mail / SMS.

For Ph.D. Admission:

• Mode of application is offline.
• The application form can be downloaded from the website.
• The application form, duly filled, must be submitted with an application fees of INR 1500 by Demand Draft in favor of School of Planning And Architecture payable at New Delhi.
