Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management Admission

Admission to MBA and EMBA is based on merit in the qualifying examination, Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds conducted by the institute. Candidates applying to such PG courses are also required to qualify in CAT. 

For Ph.D., admission is granted on the basis of performance in the qualifying examination, WAT and interview conducted at the school’s level. Apart from the above-given parameters, a good score in CAT, GATE or GRE is also considered during the final admission.

Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management Scholarships

The students enrolled in the Institute are provided scholarships on the basis of performance in semester exams. A total of 20% of students are beneficiaries of various scholarships provided by the school. Apart from this, IIT-B also offers a number of scholarships. The students belonging to SC and ST category are exempted from paying the tuition fee.

1. Library: It has a total of 6638 books, 337 audiovisual material, 514 theses and dissertation, and 55 MDP reports. Additionally, it also subscribes to online resources like Elsevier Science Direct, Emerald and ProQuest's ABI / INFORM, EBSCO, Euro monitor.
2. Computer Labs: The Institute has 2 computer labs for management program students and a Ph.D. workspace for research scholars. All computing resources are connected to 100 Mbps LAN.
3. Seminar Hall: The school has air-conditioned seminar halls with a seating capacity of 150 students. The hall is used for a variety of purposes like cultural activities, Convocation and weekend movies and live Cricket and Football action.

SJMSOM IIT Bombay MBA Eligibility:

• Graduation Degree holder in any subject from a recognized University or Institution.
• Minimum 60% marks secured in the qualifying examination.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST category should have a minimum of 55% marks secured in the final examination.
• Appearing candidates can also apply for admission.

SJMSOM IIT Bombay MBA Selection Criteria:

• Stage 1: Minimum sectional cut off in CAT. Candidate will be shortlisted on the basis of the performance in CAT.

SJMSOM IIT Bombay Ph.D. Specializations:

SJMSOM IIT Bombay Ph.D. Eligibility

• Candidate with Post Graduation Degree in relevant subject will be eligible for admission.
• B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree with 60% marks with at least two years of work experience and 
• Master of Management /ME/M.Tech/M.Pharma/M.Phil/2 years MBA or 2 years PG Diploma in Management from any institute recognized by a Government body (AICTE/UGC/AIU) with 60% marks.
• M.Sc/M.A/ M.Com/LLM/MCA or equivalent degree with 60% marks.
• CA with 60% marks/6.5 CPI (55% marks/6.0 CPI for SC/ST) in the preceding degree.

SJMSOM IIT Bombay Ph.D. Selection Process: 

After applying for the program, shortlisted applicants will be called for a written test followed by an interview. The written test is based on the aptitude test. Aptitude test will cover four sections – English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Analytical Reasoning and Data Interpretation).
