SKR Engineering College (SKREC), Chennai was established in 2001. It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The vision of the college is to transform the budding engineers into academically excellent, highly intellectual and self-disciplined Engineering graduates and also to mold them into good citizens with the spirit of integrity and catering to the needs of the nation. The mission of the college is to impart quality education with high standards of excellence in engineering and technology by providing B.Tech, M.E, and MBA courses to the students. Admission to such courses is done on the basis of entrance tests conducted at the state and national levels.

Course 1: B.E. - Bachelor’s Of Engineering
Duration - 4 Years
Specializations - Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Information Technology.
Eligibility - Intermediate (10+2) with at least 45% in PCM and English as one of the main subjects 

Postgraduate Programs

Course 1: M.E. - Master’s Of Engineering
Duration - 2 Years
Specializations - VLSI Design and Computer Science and Engineering
Eligibility - B.Tech/ B.E graduates in the relevant CSE or VLSI Design with at least 50%

Course 2: MBA - Master’s Of Business Administration

Duration - 2 Years
Eligibility - Graduates in any discipline with a minimum of 50% in total aggregate

Research Programs

Course 1: Ph.D.
Duration - 3 to 5 Years
Specialization - Computer Science Engineering
Eligibility - M.E or M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering with at least 55% in total aggregate

SKREC Admissions

The college invites applications for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in multiple departments. Applicants must register themselves for their desired courses. The mode of registration and application is online and offline as well. 

Offline Mode: Applicants can download it from the official website or collect the application form from the college. Fill in the form and submit it to the department or post it along with the Deman Draft (in favor of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions, Anna University) of the required application fee as per course and category. 

Online Mode: Applicants can follow the subsequent steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the college and navigate themselves to ‘Apply Now’ 

Step 2: Register yourself by providing a valid contact number and email id and begin with the application procedure

Step 3: Fill in the form carefully, upload the required documents, and choose your desired course

Step 4: Submit the form with making payment of the required application fee through Credit/ Debit Card or Net Baking

Step 5: Take the printouts of the application form and fee receipt as well.

Selection Procedure

• The selection of B.Tech, M.E., and MBA aspirants is based on their marks obtained in TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test). 
• Ph.D. aspirants will be admitted on the basis of their marks obtained in GATE or NET, followed by personal interview
