St Teresa's College is a private degree college in Ernakulam district of Kerala. The college was established in 1925 as the first women college in state. In 1927 University upgraded it to First Grade College. NAAC has given a five star status to college in 1999. The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, self-financing and add-on courses in arts, science and commerce. The college is affiliated to University of Madras. Started in the year 1925, St. Teresa’s College is a Christian Minority educational institution located in Ernakulam district of Kerala. The college has been accorded autonomous status by UGC and has affiliation to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. The college offers a plethora courses at UG and PG level including M.Phil degree in three subjects.

• Admissions seekers applying for UG courses must apply immediately after the announcement of Kerala +2 results. The allotment of admissions is strictly on merit of class 12 examinations.
• In case of UG courses like - B.A. Bharatanatyam & B.Sc. Apparel and Fashion Designing candidates are short listed based on their performance in Aptitude Test conducted by   the college.
• Admissions to PG and M.Phil courses are done on the basis of candidates’ scores in written entrance exam and marks obtained in qualifying examination. Those applying for M.Phil will be required to appear for personal interview post entrance exam.
• Admission to the college is not through the M.G. University CAP portal therefore candidates should apply online through the admission portal of the college website only. M.Phil application can be made in offline mode by downloading the application form from the college website.

St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam UG Admissions 2020

St. Teresa’s College is known to offer various degree courses at UG level including traditional degree and professional courses. Some of the courses are regular programmes and few are self-financed programmes. Those who wish to apply must pass their class 12 examination in a relevant stream.

The short list of candidates is solely prepared on merit for all the courses except for courses of B.A in Bharatanatyam and B.Sc Apparel & Fashion Designing. Candidates are required to appear in an Aptitude Test for these two courses.

• Management quota seats to all courses will be filled directly

St. Teresa College also offers a plethora of degree and PGD courses at PG level. The duration of degree courses is two years and PG Diploma courses have one year duration. The selection of candidates is done on marks/ grades obtained in UG up to the fifth semester and the marks obtained in the entrance test.

All eligible candidates must register through college admission portal and should compulsorily appear in entrance test.

• Candidates seeking admissions under management quota must apply directly after applying online.
• The final degree will be conferred by Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.

St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam M.Phil Admissions 2020

At research level, the college grants M.Phil degree in three specialisations. A total of 10 seats are offered in each specialisation. Candidates are selected based on their performance in entrance exam conducted separately for each course followed by personal interview.

The minimum academic requirement is Masters Degree in appropriate discipline from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks.

• Candidates appearing in their final year qualifying examination are eligible to apply.
• The entrance exam is a one hour duration paper containing questions related to core subject.
• SC/ST/OEC candidates are given 5% relaxation and SEBC candidates 3% relaxation.

St. Teresa College, Ernakulam Application Process

The application to UG and PG courses can be made in online mode while M.Phil aspirants can apply in offline mode only. Applicants must follow the given directives while making an application:

Online Mode 

• The online admission portal for UG and PG courses will be made available after official notification of admission.
• Candidates must register by filling up the application and providing mandatory fields.
• Submit the application form by remitting the application fee of Rs. 200/- for general candidates and Rs.100/- for SC/ST candidates via challan at any bank or online payment gateway. Challan forms are made available for download on admission portal. 
• Two print out copies of the application (one copy signed by the applicant) along with the copy of the Challan and mark sheet of qualifying examination/ five semesters of Class 12/UG programme respectively must be submitted in the college.
•  The other copy of application and above mentioned documents must be produced at the time of admission.
• Candidates seeking admission under Sports/Cultural/Physically Disabled Quota must produce copies of relevant certificates.
• Management Quota applicants must apply directly to the college after submitting the application form within the given dates.

Offline Mode 
The application form for M.Phil course is made available for download on the college website. Candidates can remit the application fee of Rs. 500/- for general candidates and Rs. 200/- for SC/ST candidates through challan at any branch of South Indian Bank.

The duly filled in application form along with the copy of the challan should be sent/submitted to the college office.

St. Teresa’s College follows different reservation criteria for regular and self-financed courses. The distribution of seats in percent is as given below:

Scholarship

St. Teresa’s College is part of 22 University Merit scholarships, 2 State Merit scholarships, 120 post-metric scholarships, 10 post-metric minority scholarships, 8 scholarships for Muslim girls, 4 scholarships for the single girl child, 7 Kerala State Suvarna Jubilee Merit, 20 Higher Education scholarships,  39 under the Central Sector scheme, and 2 Sitaram Jindal Foundation scholarships.

The college grants several scholarships to B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com Part 1 students. Eligible candidates can apply at scholarship counter of the college.

Also, the college offers full fee concession, stipends/hostel fee, and lump sum grant to SC, ST and OEC students.
