University Of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur was formed when the cabinet approved the proposal for establishment of Agricultural University with an allocation of Rs 5 crores for 2008-09. Raichur is the center of oldest Agricultural Research Station established by the then Nizam’s government in 1932. The University comprises Bidar, Gulbarga, Raichur, Bellary, Koppal and Yadgir districts.
