University of Tasmania Undergraduate Admission
The University of Tasmania offers more than 100 undergraduate courses. All undergraduate courses are not available for international applicants. Students can check the available programs from here.
Applicants have to meet the General Entry Requirement of the university along with English Language Requirements. Some courses may need applicants to meet additional criteria. Admission for some courses is based on ATAR score that is determined by the university. It is calculated based on qualification and experience. Students not meeting the entry criteria can register for pathway programs. Some courses may require an interview for selection.

Few courses have a quota system for admission as there is a limited number of seats. Those courses are Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Nursing (Fast Track Rozelle). These courses have additional entry requirements.
English Language Proficiency for UG and PG programs -
All International students have to meet the English Language Proficiency Requirements and submit a score of an English Proficiency test to be eligible for any program at the University of Tasmania.
- The validity of the score is 2 years.
- Applicants who have less than the required scores can register for ELICOS courses like the UTASAccess Direct Entry English and UTASAccess-Maritime English Direct Entry to improve their scores.

*For medical courses that require registration with APHRA, the minimum IELTS score required will be 7.0 and those registered with Pharmacy Board of Australia, the minimum score required will be 7.5.
Visa Process for International students -
Visa process for studying at the University of Tasmania will start after the applicant has been accepted in the university and has confirmed their admission. The Confirmation of Enrolment Letter will be emailed to the applicants by the International Admissions. The students should arrange for the visa before entering Australia.
