Agurchand Manmull Jain College (AM Jain College) was established by Padmasri Mohanmulji Chordia through the Sri. S.S. Jain Educational Society in the year 1952. The College which started as a college for men was upgraded into a Co-educational institution in 2004. The college is affiliated with the University of Madras.

AM Jain College Courses

The college offers different courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level in multiple specializations. The list of courses consists of BA, B.Sc., B.Com, BBA at UG level and MA, M.Sc., M.Com at PG level. It also offers research programs in four different disciplines i.e. Economics, Mathematics, Physics and Commerce. 

AM Jain College Admission

Am Jain College invites offline applications to all the programs. Application form can be obtained from the college office, online through college official website or postal service by sending a demand draft with a requisition letter addressed to Dean. Prospectus can be obtained from the college office. Candidates have to pay an application fee of INR 300 for U.G. and INR 300 for P.G., between 10 am to 5 pm on all working days.

Management Scholarships

  • Merit scholarship: Students who have secured 90% and above in their XII Std board examination are eligible for 25% fee concession irrespective of the course they join.

Along with Bachelor’s and Master’s course, college also offers research program in four major specializations viz. Physics, Mathematics, Economics and Commerce. Candidates seeking admission to these courses must hold a Master’s degree or should clear M.Phil. program securing 55% marks to be eligible to apply for the course.

AM Jain College Application Form 2020

AM Jain College invites offline applications for admission to its various programs. The application process for all the courses is as follows:

  1. Application form and prospectus for various courses can be obtained from the college office.
  2. Pay the application fee of INR 250 for U.G. and INR 300 for P.G, between 10.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on all working days.
  3. Outstation candidates can obtain application form by sending a demand draft for INR 200 in favor of “The Principal, A.M. Jain College, Chennai” along with a self-addressed envelope (23x13 cm) with appropriate postal stamps affixed of INR 60.
  4. Candidates must use separate application form for each course to apply.
  5. In all communications concerning the admission, only the application number should be quoted.
  6. Photocopies of mark sheets, duly attested, should be attached to the application.
  7. An applicant, who is selected for admission, must report to Principal for shift I / Dean for shift II with his/her parents and must pay the fees in full on the same day.
  8. Provisionally selected candidates should produce the following documents in original at the time of personal interview/ admission:
    • Transfer Certificate
    • Conduct or Character Certificate.
    • 10th and 12th certificate.
    • Eligibility certificate issued by the University of Madras (in case of the candidates from other states).
    • Mark sheet of the qualifying examination issued by the boards.
    • Community certificate

Scholarships By AM Jain College

Scholarships are made available for the students who are not financial capable of bearing their educational expenses. To be eligible for any scholarship, a student must have a 90% attendance.
