Bharatiya Vidyapeeth was established by Patangrao Kadam in 1964. The higher education institute is now a deemed university, which is located in Pune, India. It offers BTech, BPharm & Pharm D, BSc Biotech, BOptom, BASLP, BSc Nursing, BBA/BCA, BHMCT, BArch, BBA LLB, BPharm, and BA LLB degree programmes.

Apart from the UG courses, it offers MSc in Nursing, Environment, Geoinformatics, Biotechnology, Medical-Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and many more. The University also offers MBA, MCA, MHA and LLM courses.
