ABOUT COLLEGE

Chidambaram Pillai College For Women, Trichy was established in 1999 in Mannachanallur, near Trichy. It is affiliated to Bharathidasan University. It was founded by Trustees, Thiru. Sidambaram Pillai, Thiru. Periyanna Pillai and Thiru. It is the self financing college which was meant exclusively for girls from rural areas who do not have the means to study in the colleges. The college is situated in greenery and calm surrounding covering an area of 10.01 acres.

Collaboration

The College has entered into a Memorandum of understanding with Indira Gandhi National Open University to offer Computer Courses in the College Campus for both boys and girls.

Campus :-

The college is situated in a serene and sylvan surrounding covering an area of 10.01 acres. Commodious rooms and hygienic surrounding make learning an enjoyment in the campus.

Audio - Visual Education:

1) The College is well-equipped to give a good Audiovisual Education Programme. Under this programme, films of educational value are screened periodically. Also P.A. systems and music systems are available for use in the various activities and functions of the College, Hostels and different Associations of the College.

2) COLOUR TV : The College provides a colour TV for viewing the U.G.C. Programme on Higher Education on all working days. Exact timings will be displayed on the notice board.

Xerox Facility:

The College offers photocopying facilities for the staff and the students on a modern automatic Photocopier at the subsidised rate of 80 paise per normal page. This facility is available in the Library.

Parking Lots:

arking lots are provided to facilitate students' keeping their vehicles safely. A separate watchman is in charge of the two-wheelers. Students should keep their vehicles duly locked only in the parking lots. The College is not responsible for any loss of vehicles or the vehicle's parts thereof.

Private Tuition:

No Student Is Allowed To Have Private Tuition With Any Member Of The College Staff.

Any student who feels that he/she needs extra coaching in studies must approach the Principal for necessary help. The College will arrange special coaching in any subject for any class, depending on the need, on payment of nominal fees or free of charge, in the case of very poor students.
