Founded in 1969 as Christ College, Christ University is administered by Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). CMI is a Catholic indigenous congregation founded in 1831 by St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara. In 2008, UGC declared it as a ‘Deemed to be University’. Currently, the university comprises 29 academic departments.

It has three world-class campuses in Bangalore. The main campus is located on Hosur Road, one is in Kengeri while the latest one is situated on Bannerghatta Road. The university also owns one campus in Pune and one in Delhi-NCR. It offers 46 undergraduates, 47 postgraduate, 21 doctoral and many research programmes. Also, the institution offers several professional courses.

Christ University Admission Process

To apply for admission at Christ University, candidates will have to fill and submit an application form. You can find the application form either online or at the university's Kengeri Campus.

1. Submit the application form along with the application processing fee, to register for the selection process.
2. The candidate's admit card will be uploaded on the university's website five days before the commencement of the selection process.
3. Admission to the majority of the programmes is granted based on the applicant's merit in the previous qualifying exam and the details filled in the application form.
4. Entrance tests are conducted for a few programmes. Once a candidate clears the selection process, the admission offer is sent to him/her. The offer stays valid only for 3-5 working days.

Christ University houses the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships that offers various awards and scholarships to meritorious students. These include:
