The year 2007 envisaged the cherished ideas come true in the form of establishment. In 2008, E.S. College of Nursing started running with a few number of students and faculty at TACW premises in Villupuram. ESCON at present boasts about 650 students pursuing five different courses in Nursing. The college has been duly recognized by INC and TNC, and affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. The Shantha Medical Foundation owned E.S. College of Nursing has to enter on its tenth year of progress and promises its commitment forever.

Philosophy
The faculty of the E.S. College of Nursing believe in providing nursing education that is built on scientific principles, sound educational theory and practice. Our graduates with experience can rapidly move into leadership positions in nursing education, nursing services and administration. We believe in promoting all round development of the students with special emphasis on humility, morality, intelligence and spirituality which are expected of a professional nurse who will also be a valuable citizen and an effective “agent for change” in an ever changing society. We at E.S. College of Nursing believe that we have the responsibility to provide education to those who have the potential and the motivation to become educators, administrators, clinical specialists and research workers on par with the constant demands of the society and who will be able to contribute towards professional excellence by confronting the issues and challenges encountered in the nursing profession today.
