Ewing Christian College is a minority institution under the Church of North India, Diocese of Lucknow. It was established in 1902 and was granted affiliation by University of Allahabad. The college covers an area of 42 acres.

• The college has a division called Ewing Christian Institute of Management and Technology which runs the MCA and MBA course, under the AICTE
• Students have designated parking spots within the campus
• Computers are available in the library and every other department. The Center for Computer Science has been endowed with 150 machines.

Ewing Christian College (ECC), Allahabad Admission 2020, Entrance Exam, Courses, Merit List

Ewing Christian College (ECC) is an autonomous constituent college of Allahabad University established in the year 1902. It has been granted the status of ‘College with Potential for Excellence’ by the UGC and accredited by NAAC. ECC Allahabad offers degree and diploma courses leading to graduation and post-graduation.

The courses available include B. A, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, B.Voc., M.Sc and M.A degree programmes. It also offers a number of career oriented Diploma and Post-Graduation Diploma courses.

• The selection of candidates to degree courses is strictly based on entrance test conducted by the college.
• There are separate entrance tests for UG and PG courses.
• UG courses require pass in class 12 examinations in a relevant stream; PG courses need bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline.
• The admission criteria for Post Graduate Diploma differ from course to course, subject to availability of seats.

ECC, Allahabad UG Admissions, 2020

ECC Allahabad offers degree courses of B.A in fourteen subjects, B.Sc in twelve subjects, B.Com, BCA and B.Voc in two specializations. The selection of candidates is strictly based on merit score of entrance test conducted by the college. All UG courses are of three years duration.

B.A and B.Com candidates need to have passed class 12 examinations from a recognized board in arts/science/commerce or equivalent. In case of B.Sc candidates must have studied non-medical/medical stream in class 12. CA candidates should have studied mathematics at 10+2 level. For B.Voc only candidates from science stream can apply.

• Candidates who have participated in Cluster, Regional, Zonal, District, State, National/International level competitions are also considered eligible for B.A in Physical Education course.
• The subjects of Mathematics and Statistics are available under B.A and B.Sc degree for which mathematics as a compulsory subject in class 12 is compulsory requirement.  

ECC, Allahabad B.Ed Admission 2020

The course of B.Ed was introduced in the year 2003 with approval from NCTE. The academic duration of course is two years which can be completed in maximum three years.

The college offers 45 seats in arts stream, 40 in science stream and 15 in commerce stream. Out of total seats 50% are reserved for Christian Minority candidates.

To be eligible candidates need to have passed bachelor’s degree or master degree with minimum 50% marks in Science/ Social Science or Humanities.

• Candidates having bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with minimum 55% marks or equivalent are also eligible for admission.
• Christian Minority candidates must pass Special test on Biblical Knowledge to claim reservation.

ECC, Allahabad PG Admission 2020

ECC started its degree courses of M.A and M.Sc on self-financed basis. The course of M.A is available in ten subjects and that of M.Sc in five subjects. The total intake is 50 students for each subject, with exception to M.A in Psychology and Geography and M.Sc. in Botany, Chemistry, Physics and Zoology with 30 seats each.

Admissions are strictly done through merit of Entrance Test conducted by the college. The entrance test includes questions on General English, General Knowledge, Reasoning and subject specific questions.

• Candidates will be eligible for admission provided they qualify the entrance test in that subject.
• The final degree will be awarded by Allahabad University.

ECC, Allahabad PG Diploma Admissions 2020

The college also offers Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA), Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Management (PGDMHM, Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism & Mass Communication (PGDJMC) and Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in 4 specializations’ namely - Human Resource Management, Marketing, Advertisement and Public Relations and Rural Resource Management.

The admissions criteria for each course differ from course to course where candidates would be required to appear in written test/group discussion or personal interview (whichever be the case). Admission seeking candidates must have passed their bachelor’s degree to be eligible.

• In case of PGDM, candidates from ECC would be given first preference for admissions.
• Candidates expecting their final results of degree examinations are eligible to apply.
• Final selection to PGDM and PGDMHM would be on performance in personal interview.

ECC, Allahabad Application Process

Candidates seeking admission in ECC in UG or PG courses can register online for the Entrance Test or purchase form from ECC Institution of Skill Development (ISD). Follow the given procedure for Application form submission:

Online Mode:

• Visit the college website and click on E-Pravesh to download the prospectus.
• Fill the Application form online after reading the prospectus carefully.
• On submitting the form, a Transaction ID would be assigned for future reference and download of admit card.
• Proceed to pay their Entrance Examination Fee by using Online Payment Gateway such as Credit/Debit card, net banking through NEFT or mobile banking.
• On successful payment download and print a copy of application form.

Offline Mode:
The offline form can only be purchased from ECC-ISD on cash payment of requisite fee. The duly filled in form should be submitted in person within given time period.
