Jai Hind College was found  in the year 1948. Just after the partition of India, when almost the entire population succumbed to the separation of their friends and family, some of the stronger men accomplished their goal by establishing an educational institute to contribute their specialty and knowledge for students betterment. Jai Hind College, Mumbai was found in the year 1948, soon after the partition of the country by some of the ex-professors of the D.J. Sind College, Karachi and other educationists of Sind, who came and settled in Mumbai and formed themselves into a registered body called the Sind Educationists’ Association. 

Jai Hind College is primarily meant for displaced linguistic minorities, but others are also considered for admission. The college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Arts, Commerce, and Science streams.

• At the UG level, the college offers a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Science, and Commerce stream as Aided courses.

Aided Courses

At the undergraduate level, Jai Hind College offers Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) as Aided courses with various specializations. The duration period for each of the courses is three years.

Self-Financed Courses

The institute also offers various self-financed courses under the disciplines of Finance and Management, Mass Media and Technology at the UG level.

Selection Process

Admission will be granted solely on the basis of merit i.e, the marks secured in 10+2 qualifying exams.
