Modern College Of Arts Science And Commerce(MCASC) was established in 1970 by Progressive Education Society. The college is affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Ganeshkhind. The College is re-accredited by NAAC, Bangalore, with ‘A Grade in 2010. The college offers Bachelors, Masters & Ph.D. degrees in the fields of Arts, Science, and Commerce. Savitribai Phule Pune University has awarded ‘Best College Award to the college in 2008.The college has been awarded unique status of ‘College with Potential for Excellence (CPE)’ by UGC, New Delhi in 2011.

Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce is a private college established in the year 1970 located at Pune. The college is affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Ganeshkhind.

The college offers various under graduate and post graduate programs in different streams. They are BBA, B.Com, BA, BCA, BBM, B.Sc., M. Com, M.A and M.Sc. and Ph.D. respectively.

The college offers various under graduate programs in BA, B.Sc., B.Com, BBA, BBM and BCA. For all the courses, the minimum eligibility requirement is passed in 10+2 from an equivalent board.

Selection of the candidates is based on the merit in the qualifying examination. However, for BBA, BBM and BCA, candidates have to appear for CET conducted by college.

• B.Sc. blended degree course is in collaboration the University of Melbourne (UOM), Australia and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune (IISERP).
• Candidates seeking admission in BBA/BCA/BBM with two-year Diploma in Pharmacy after H.S.C., Board of Technical Education conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent.
• Also, three-year Diploma Course (after H.S.C., i.e. 10th Standard) of Board of Technical Education conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent and MCVC.

The college offers various post graduate programs in MA, M.Sc. and M.Com. The minimum eligibility requirement is passed in Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline. Candidates are selected based on the merit in the qualifying examination.

The college offers admission in Ph.D. program in eight specializations. Minimum eligibility requirements is pass in Masters or a professional degree with at least 55% aggregate marks.

Selection for the course is based on the merit in the qualifying and the entrance examination.

Key Points for Ph.D. Admission:

• Candidates with a Master's degree or an equivalent professional degree, with at least 55% (50% for reserved categories/differently abled) marks in aggregate.
• Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. Course work with minimum 55% (50% for reserved categories/differently abled) aggregate marks or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale.
• Candidate on successfully completing the M.Phil. Degree shall be eligible to proceed to do research work leading to the Ph. D. Degree in the same institution in an integrated program.
• Candidates possessing a Degree considered equivalent to M.Phil. Degree of an Indian institution, from a foreign educational institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency.
• Candidates qualified in UGC-NET, JGC-CSIRNET (Including JRF)/SLET/GATE (valid score) or teacher fellowship holders will be exempted from the Entrance Test for Ph.D. program.
• Candidates who have passed M. Phil. Program of the Savitribai Phule Pune University will be exempted from the Entrance Test for Ph.D. program.

The process of application is online for all the courses and entrance examination.

Application process for the admission in any course is the college is given below:-

• Click on the “ePravesh” tab on the official website of college.
• The form has to be filled with all the necessary details.
• Candidates have to upload his/her photograph and after that click on “Save Information”.
• The filled application form has to be downloaded online and download the Fee Challan by using option ‘Print Challan’ and get the hard copy of (printout) fee challan.
• The fee challan has to be checked, signed and sealed by the concerned Clark as mention in the respective places for checking the admission form.
• Following this, the hard copy of the application form along with the fee challan has to be sent to the college with attached photocopy of required documents.
• While filling the Online Application form, select proper option FEE PAYING Category to get proper fee challan.
• The fee challan should be paid to Bank of Maharashtra, Modern College Branch only after verification by college authorities.

Note:

• Foreign and NRI students are not directly admitted to the College for any course of University.
• These students must obtain necessary permission from University authorities and complete the formalities prescribed by the University.
• Such students will be governed by rules framed by the University, College and other concerned authorities from time to time.
• The students coming from other than Maharashtra State may be given admission to the respective courses depending upon availability of vacancies in accordance with eligibility norms prescribed by the University.
