Netaji Subhash Open University (NSOU), founded in 1997, is the state-level open university in Kolkata. It offers distance education programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in arts, science, commerce, and various other streams. NSOU Kolkata Admissions
The registration process of Netaji Subhash Open University starts in the month of July every year. The application forms will be available online at the University’s website – www.wbnsou.ac.in . The final selections will be based on the marks obtained in the latest exam attended (depending on the program opted). we
- An applicant can only apply to one of the bachelor’s programs.
- Pay the fees at any branch of Allahabad Bank using the pre-printed challan collected at the time of online submission.
- Application forms photocopies must be signed and stamped by the person attending their Study center.
- With the form, all the necessary documents, photographs and copy of challan obtained from the bank must be submitted at the time of admission.
- Those who have a BPP or vocational background can directly buy the prospectus of INR 150 from study centers.
- An application once submitted along with fees cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
- Merit List and other information regarding counseling for admission will be notified by the university on the official website.
Note: Postal applications will not be accepted under any circumstances. One has to visit the center to submit the application.

Ques. Can I change my Study Centre of Netaji Subhash Open University?
Ans. Application for change of Study Centre after taking admission can be made together with a fee of INR 500 (payable through DD drawn in favoUr of Netaji Subhas Open University payable at Kolkata.Such an application will be considered under circumstances like a change of place of service, shifting family and change of marital status only with documentary evidence.
Ques. I Lost my Enrolment-cum-Identity Card, what should I do?
Ans. The applicant must register a General Missing Diary (GD) with the local police station at earliest. To get a duplicate Enrollment-cum-Identity Card you should write an application addressed to the registrar of this University along with a DD of INR 500 (drawn in favor of Netaji Subhas OpenUniversity payable at Kolkata) and the GD.
Ques. Can I choose my Study Centre, or shall the university allot me the Study Centre?
Ans. You can choose your Study Centre as per your convenience. However, since all your programs are not available at all the Study Centres, you should ensure that the course you are applying for is available at the Study Centre opted by you. Normally the Centre opted by you shall be allotted to you.
