The Educational Society of Professionals & Vocationals was formed by like minded educationists, philanthropists & spirited persons, dedicated to bringing about socio-economic transformation. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. Polytechnic for Women commenced its professional programmes in 1979, A-3, Ring Road, South Extension-I, New Delhi-49. During the span of more than three decades, the institute has grown to become one of the premier vocational institutes in the country today. The Polytechnic is equipped with the latest types of equipment, machinery, gadgets & innovations. Education is imparted to compact groups of students.

The institute awards its own certificates & diplomas for courses which are not affiliated to other Academic institutions like Board of Technical Education, A.I.C.T.E., U.G.C. etc.

Graduate & Post-Graduate Degree programs are also available in various courses.

PfW offers degree courses, validated by a UGC approved University. Bachelor & Master of Science (B.Sc. & M.Sc.) degree programmes are available in a range of courses .The students get the added advantage of dual-qualification, whereby they get a Diploma from Polytechnic for Women & a degree from the University, simultaneously, upon successfully clearing all examinations of both.

The Graduate & Post-Graduate Degree Programmes are very popular with the students as they enable them to pursue study in a relative field ,as per their courses .This betters their employment prospects to a great extent.
