Poona College Of Arts Science And Commerce (PCASC), Pune was established in 1970 by Anjuman Khairul Islam (A.K.I.). It is Religious and Linguistic Minority Educational Institution. The college is affiliated to University of Pune and Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE). The courses are accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with ‘A’ Grade. The College offers regular programs in Arts, Commerce and Science Streams. In the college 50% of total seats is reserved for Muslim Minority.

The college has accommodations for boys with all modern facilities. Every year it also conducts remedial teaching classes to the slow learners and giving them the necessary guidance to help them overcome their problems. The main focus of the college is to develop moral, ethical, social and aesthetic values amongst the student. The college has placement cell that always provide guidance and assistance to the students for their final placement.

Poona College of Arts, Science and Commerce or PCASC was founded in the year 1970. It is affiliated with Pune University and accredited with Grade “A” by NAAC.

Poona College of Arts, Science and Commerce offers admissions to courses in B.A, B.Sc, BBA, B.Com, BCA and BMM at the undergraduate level. At postgraduate level, the college offers degree courses including M.A, M.Sc, M.Com and PhD Second and Third-year admissions are also offered all undergraduate courses.

• Candidates desirous of seeking admissions will be either admissible on merit or first come first serve depending on the course.
• Those applying for UG courses must pass their class 12th examination in a relevant stream or equivalent as recognized by the University of Pune.
• In case of admissions to PG courses, candidates must have obtained a bachelor’s degree in the same or relevant discipline as recognized by the University.
• Second Year and Third Year admissions in each UG course are done on the merit of last qualifying examination.
• Applications will be accepted in online mode only. Candidates need register themselves under the ‘Admission 2020’ link.
• The minimum academic eligibility to apply to these courses is minimum 55% marks in master’s degree or equivalent professional degree.
• The selection of candidates is solely based on marks secured in PhD Entrance Test (PET) conducted by Pune University and personal interview.

PCASC Pune UG Admissions 2020

The college is known to offer a plethora of UG courses in the discipline of science, arts, commerce, business management and computer application. Candidates will be admitted on first come first serve basis in case of B.A and B.Sc courses. Merit-based admissions will be conducted for courses in B.Com, BCA, BBA and BBM.

The eligibility to apply shall be as explained below:-

• Students holding three years Diploma Course in any stream or Pharmacy after class 10th of Board of Technical Education conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent are eligible to apply for First Year Admissions.
• Candidates should have studied English as a compulsory subject in class 12th.
• Admissions to B.Sc Computer Science, BBA and BCA will be granted purely on merit basis.
• There are no reserved seats for Poona College students for these courses.
• Those applying for the course in BBA need to secure minimum 45% marks in aggregate in class 12th.

PCASC, Pune PG Admissions 2020

The college also runs courses in M.Sc, M.A and M.Com at postgraduate level. The selection is affected either by first come first serve basis or merit of last qualifying examination. Applications are invited in online mode in the month June 2020 and admissions shall take place after the declaration of results of Part 1 in each course.

PCASC, Pune M.Phil & PhD Admissions 2020

The college is recognized research centre of the Pune University. Those seeking admissions to M.Phil or PhD programme must appear in PET conducted by the Pune University. Admissions will be allotted in the order of merit as per scores obtained by candidates in PET.

The shortlisted candidates in PhD shall be selected through personal interview. They must comply with the given eligibility norms:

• A relaxation of 5% of marks or an equivalent relaxation of the grade is given to candidates belonging to reserved and Differently-Abled categories.
• Candidates who have completed M.Phil course work with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent shall be eligible to proceed to Ph. D. Degree in an integrated programme.

Online Application for admission to the college is made in online mode only. The application form is to be filled duly filled in and submitted along with Rs. 150/-fee via Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking in online mode or through Bank Challan in offline mode.

• Select the student type, appropriate course, Qualifying Examination Board/University.
• Verify details and submit the form.
• Take the print out of Application Form along with eligibility form (for First year UG/PG students only).
