Sathyabama University, formerly known as Sathyabama Engineering College was established by Jeppiaar Educational Trust in 1987 and it is accredited with grade “A” by NAAC.

The institute offers admission to the B.Tech programme and the admission to the course will be solely on the basis of the performance in the All India Entrance Examination conducted by Sathyabama University. Sathyabama University All India Entrance Examination is generally conducted in the month of April every year. 

The institute further conducts counseling for the final admission. 

The admission to all the UG, PG and Doctoral level programmes will also be based on the performance in the examination conducted by the Institute itself.

The university offers several Undergraduate level Engineering and Technical courses like B.E., B.Tech. and B.Arch. The Bachelor of Engineering degree is offered under 11 different specializations and the bachelor of Technology degree is provided under 5 different specializations. Both B.E. and B.Tech. courses are offered for a duration of four years whereas, the B.Arch programme is for a period of five years.

The institute offers admission to the courses solely on the basis of the marks secured in the All India B.E/B.Tech./B.Arch. Entrance Examination conducted by the Institute itself. 

The candidates will be shortlisted and called for Counselling, based on their performance in the entrance examination-2020. On the day of counseling, the branch of study will be allotted depending on the availability of seats and provisional admission order will be issued on the same day after collecting a counseling fee of Rs.50,000/-.

The university offers several Undergraduate level courses in the streams of Arts, Commerce, Science, Business Studies, Education and Medical Sciences.

The course duration of B.A.,B.Sc, B.Com, BBA programmes are three years while the Bachelor’s degree in Dental Sciences (BDS) is offered for a period of five years. The duration of B.Ed course is one year.

APPLICATION FORM (PHYSICAL MODE):

• Eligible candidates can get the application form on payment of Rs. 1000/- at Sathyabama University Campus
• Application forms may also be obtained through post by sending a request letter (candidate’s mailing address should be mentioned clearly in capital letters with pin code number, mobile number and E-mail ID) along with a demand draft for Rs.1100/- drawn in favor of Sathyabama University, payable at Chennai. This request letter should reach on or before the due date to “The Co-ordinator, Entrance Examination, Sathyabama University, Jeppiaar Nagar, Rajiv Gandhi Salai, Chennai-600 119”

APPLICATION FORM (ONLINE MODE):

• Candidates can also use online submission of application which is available on the official website.
• Candidates opting for online submission should fill the application and verify all the details entered. After the verification of the details, online payment of Rs.1000 should be made either by using Net Banking Facility/Credit Card/Debit Card or offline payment (only by Indian Bank Challan mode) at any one of the INDIAN BANK branches
• The candidates who have submitted the applications through online mode need not send any printed forms/account statement/bank or institution challan copy etc. unless otherwise requested by university authorities. But they should note the application number, login username and password for future reference (application number must be required to track their application and to book the slot for computer based examination)
