Established in 2014, the University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata (UEM) is a private university that is approved by AICTE, UGC and the Bar Council of India. It is an integral part of the IEM Education Trust and it majorly focuses in the field of technology, management and engineering. UEM Kolkata is known to be the third institute of engineering developed by the IEM Group of Institutions. Besides its two campuses in Kolkata, namely the New Town Campus and Ashram Building Campus, the university has an institute in Jaipur which was established in 2011.

It has a sprawling lush green campus of 32 acres along with a Research and Development Wing that helps students to learn about research programmes. Other facilities include an excellent library with over 2,50,000 books, journals, magazines & e-journals for complementing the academic endeavors, in-campus girls and boys hostel, various sports grounds and more than 25 labs for its students.
