Bharati Vidyapeeth is a Deemed to be University and a group of higher educational institutions located in Pune, India. It was established in 1964. The university has two campuses in Pune: Dhankawadi and Erandwane. It has six more campuses in other cities across India (Mumbai, Solapur, Kolhapur, Sangli, Karad and New Delhi). The university has 1600+ Teachers, 12 faculties, 250+ Programmes and 29 Constituent Institutions including 3 Research Institutes.
Dhankawadi campus houses 24 colleges of various disciplines, major among them are the Medical College, Dental College, and College of Engineering Pune. It also has 12 constituent institutes, which include, College of Architecture, Ayurved, Engineering, Nursing, Physical Education, Dental College and Hospital, Homoeopathic Medical College, Institute of Environment Education and Research, Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Interactive Research School for Health Affairs, Medical College (School of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology, Pune, School of Optometry, Pune, Centre for Health Management Studies and Research, Pune) and Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Information Technology and Bio-Technology.
Erandwane campus houses 5 major and other smaller colleges, primary among them are IMED, New Law College Pune, Pune College of Pharmacy, Research and Development Centre in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Applied Chemistry, Social Sciences Centre (MSW), Yashwantrao Chavan Institute of Social Science Studies and Research and Yashwantrao Chavan College of Arts Science and Commerce (School of Performing Arts, Pune).
