5 years ago - EXAM - All India - 409 viewsCLAT 2020 Registration Form is available on the official website from January 1, 2020. NUSRL, Ranchi will conduct CLAT 2020 on May 10, 2020. CLAT is conducted to grant admission to students in LLB and LLM programs offered by 21 NLUs, 53 private colleges and other participating colleges.
- The last date to submit application forms is March 31, 2020.
- For LLM Admission Test, candidates who secure 40% marks (35% in case of SCT/ST/PWD) out of 100 objective questions will qualify for evaluation of their descriptive answers.
- There is no age limit to apply for the exam. Candidates appearing or having qualified class 12 with 45% marks (40% for SC, ST) satisfy CLAT 2020 Eligibility for LLB program.
- CLAT 2020 Application fee for General, OBC and EWS category is INR 4000 and INR 3500 for SC and ST candidates.
- Upon successful registration, candidates can download their CLAT 2020 Admit card from the third week of April 2020.
- Around 2400 seats for LLB and 550 seats for LLM will be filled through CLAT 2020.
- CLAT 2020 Cutoff will be released separately for 21 NLUs in the month of June 2020.
For LLB Program
- Age Limit: As per revised rules, there is no upper age limit for CLAT 2020.
- Academic Qualification: Candidate must have passed 10+2 or any equivalent examination with at least 45% marks, 40% in case of SC/ ST students.
- Appearing Candidates: Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in April/ May 2020 are also eligible to appear in CLAT 2020.
For LLM Program
- Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for LLM program.
- Academic Qualification: Candidate must have an LLB or any other equivalent degree with atleast 55% marks, 40% in case of SC/ ST students.
- Appearing Candidates: Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in March/ April 2020 are also eligible to appear in CLAT 2020.
Step 1: Basic CLAT Registration
Law aspirants have to register first to get a provisional Registration ID and Password. The following details will be required:

Step 2: Upload Photo & Signature
Login with the provisional ID and Password, and upload the documents as per the defined guidelines. Tabulated below is a brief of size and format of the Photo and Signature. CheckPhoto and Signature Size Format

Step 3: Fill CLAT Application Form
Proceed to fill in the other required details in the application form. The information can be entered in any order. The sections are as follows:
- Personal Details like name, DOB, mobile number, Parent’s name, Postal Address, Gender, category etc.
- Qualification Details likemarks scored, percentage, passing year, Board name etc.
- Preference for NLU as per your choice.
Step 4: Pay CLAT Application Fee
- The final step is to pay the stipulated application fee.
- It can be paid via online (Debit/Credit or Net Banking) or offline (Bank Challan).
